If you could reverse the outcome of one game in Hurricanes history, which would it be?

Honestly surprised more people haven’t mentioned the Cuse game. What a **** shame, especially considering we were up 21-0. Cam in the p,ayoffs would have been electric

We woulda most likely been one-and-done in the CFP with never-ending mental mistakes and blown coverages with Lance Guidry's defense

All the usual suspects with these as "Others receiving votes":

1990 ND- We were #2 when they beat us. With the way things worked out, we would have been #1 playing Colorado in the OB for the Natty.
1985 uF- We would have been #1 (11-0) with a rematch vs Oklahoma in the OB for the Natty.
1994 UW- Would have been nice to (eventually) get that home field winning streak number to 71.

Honestly we could've hired someone other than Coker.
Canes always perform better with a disciplinary type HC,( Howard, JJ, Butch) 1 year worked for Larry but the second year we looked undisciplined with mistakes and penalties all over the place.
same with Dennis , we do not do well with a "players coach"

1986 vs Penn State?
1988 vs Notre Dame?
2002 vs Ohio State?
This year vs Indiana?
Others?

And the reason why? For example, beating Ohio State (which was pure robbery) would have been back-to-back national championships.
2002 vs OSU

Indiana easily. The opportunity to win it at home is extremely rare. Plus, I was there so obviously would have been nice to witness that in person, smh.
Yep!!

Plus I was with my 15 year old son and watching him cry like a baby when Carson threw that pick killed me more than the actual INT.

My first Canes game in person was 06 home vs FSU when I was 15. We lost that ****** game 13-10 in the rain and I cried for that lol. I couldn’t imagine witnessing that at 15, God bless.

I'm going to pick some non-obvious games for the sake of conversation.

'05 Peach Bowl - LSU 40 Miami 3 -- I was a teenager and this is what marked the end of the 00's run for me. Team goes 7-6 the following year and Coker is fired.

'07 Final game at OB - Virginia 48 Miami 0 -- Final game at the OB, completely dominated.
That Peach Bowl against LSU is a good pick. I was at this game. It truly felt like our run was done and we were not in line with the times anymore. First time since the 90s that we looked like we didn't belong on the field with the opposing team.

That was really when it all came undone

Easily, either of OSU Fiesta Bowl or ND 1988. The reasoning is simple: those games were stolen from us. Full stop.

Indiana 2026 and Penn State Fiesta Bowl were losses where we inflicted injury on ourselves, and only need to look in the mirror for someone to blame.

PSU was all Gary Stevens’ f$ck up beyond belief, and Indiana was a mix of player gaffes (looking at you, Alex Baumann, and some coaching missteps, (first half coverages from Hetherman, and ignoring the gaping opportunity on the perimeter zone, Shannon Dawson).

But even with all that, nothing makes up for the outrage over OSU and ND.
