If you’re not on board with Mario…

This.

I'm definitely not against hiring a former alum, who happens to be one of the best in the business at getting 5 stars to sign, but there are legitimate concerns. I worry that he, and his boy Mirabel, might run an outdated Offense that gets us exposed if/when we get to the CFB playoffs and can't 'outmuscle' the OSU, UGA, and BAMAs of the world. Kind of like what will happen this year with Oregon, if they make the playoffs.

I've said this before, and I'll say it again, I would still jumps right through my roof if Mario did decide to come here. I just hope he leave Moorhead in Eugene
Won't matter if he jettisons Moorhead into space. The guy before him ran something similar. Mario aint an OC but it will be an offense that fits what he wants. One that showcases that OL and not WRs and QBs

Wit A. Highsmith as the head of Football operations to sprinkle a lil razzle dazzle on the top, then GTFO! Right @SWFLHurricane ? JC! Lawwwwwwwwd I’m scared to death
I would be happy as a $20 Ho on payday with Mario, but he just re-upped at UO. Lane is there for the taking. Nobody else besides Matt Campbell interest me. Go Big or GTFOH!

Mario is 34-11 in Eugene. He’s won the Pac-12 twice, won the Rose Bowl, and is on track for another Pac-12 Championship & CFP/NY6 Bowl.

He’d be the biggest hire we’ve ever made. Not to mention he’s in his prime, unlike Mark Richt.

*IF we get to the CFB Playoff and underperform? that would be the the concern?

we know how far this program is away from being there right? Cross that bridge when the time comes. Mario is a no brainer. Nobody who is a realistic target is a home run. This program needs a no-nonsense adult to right the ship and get things in order.

And as far as Mario having an easy time out West in the P12, we know what the ACC coastal looks like, right?

We're finally willing to spend money and people want to overpay for the first former UM player/coach with mediocre success. Do yall ever ******* learn?

I think Mario certainly has a high floor and i'm not totally against the hire but we deserve an exhaustive search. Pushing our chips all in on Mario is just lazy.

They just took ****e for a nationwide search that was just our DC. They are again publicly talking about a nationwide search. AD this time. Won’t that AD have the HC hire power if he is a hot name.

I would also think the ACC would get involved somehow. The disaster hires at UM have crippled the original plan dating back to when the ACC took Miami from the Big East. ACC should understand that Miami must return to power for the good to f the conference.

Did he really win it twice? I remember last year he made that title game because Washington had COVID and couldn't play. Amazing touting a season in which he coached a total of 7 games and lost 3 of them. Like crediting a coach in the NBA for making the playoffs as the 8th seed when the team ahead of them got into a plane crash and couldn't field a team.

So true

Especially with the type of talent a guy like Mario would bring to coral gables. SFLA, historically, doesn't produce elite OL, but RBs/WRs are usually top quality. I'd love to have a guy who can take advantage the type of talent SFLA produces.

Exactly, please no more lazy hires.

LOL, He's already "outmuscled" OSU.

Look, Bro, the goal is to win National Championships, and you're not winning National Championships with **** O-Line play, and you're certainly not winning National Championships just running the Inside Zone like we do no now, that's FACTS!!!

Oregon was 11-13 in the two seasons before Mario took over. They’re 34-11 since. He’s done a great job there. He’s as good of a hire as we could ask for.
