If Golden is actually let go after this season don't we have to hope that the eagles tank as well so that we could hire Chip Kelly. He could do amazing things with the talent that we have down in south florida.

Well sure but what makes you think that a sissy boy like Blake James will do all that is necessary to secure Kelly's services even if he became available? I guestimate it would take about 4mil per year for him to take us seriously. I can't see the fascists who sit on the board of trustees going for that. Remember this is the "new Miami." More than likely it will be a mediocre retread like Schiano or Christobal.
 
Or we could hope for a breakthrough in cryonic research allowing UM's medical school to bring back George Halas.
 
If you fugging idiots think Miami is going to get a coach like Kelly if Golden is fired, you have a big surprise coming! LOL, you GUys can't be serious can you?
 
Say our prayers. I think another mediocre hire like Mario Cristobal is far more likely, though, as a previous poster said.

Agree, I would hope after Blake has had the University spending so many millions one facility so that we could "get competitive" and "#buildchampionships" that he wouldn't try to skimp on a coach, the one thing that matters most. Chip is a proven winner and that's what it's going to take at this point of 10+ years of mediocrity. I would be ****ed if they hired Mario surely if FIU fires them we won't hire them

We already have a coach who's a laughing stock in his league, gets his *** pummeled like sasha gray in primetime games and fields laughably bad defenses, why pay 3 extra mil a year for that when you can just grab butch Davis?
 
Plus all the major programs have recently hired coaches so we should be the best job for available coaches. Texas, Michigan, ohio state, florida, penn state, Nebraska, ucla, USC and Washington. I don't know of another big name school who's coach is on the hot seat.

That was the exact blueprint that let larry coker take over and ruin our program. I'm fine with that as long as our university makes the commitment to hire experienced winners after butch.

Agree that the right hire must be made when Butch steps down, I would hope they learned their lesson with Coker.

I think butch could win in current circumstances and roster also. The way kaaya, al, Blake and all the coaches and players have been saying coastal this year I think Blake MAY have told al that he needs to win the coastal to have a for sure job next year.
