Dude if we didnt make it in with 2 losses last season, we aint getting in with 2 losses this season.
If I hit the powerball.10-2 record. How can our chance to make the CFP only be 9% if the committee will be tripping over themselves to let in a 10-2 ND team that we beat? Do head to head records matter? Are they going to discount that it was the first game of the season? Why wouldn't they discount the entire ND schedule?
ND Schedule:
beat 2-7 Arkansas
beat 5-4 NC State
beat 2-7 Purdue
beat G5 Boise State
beat 6-2 USC
beat 1-8 Boston College
lost to Texas A&M
lost to Miami
Remaining:
Navy (7-1)
Pitt (7-2)
Syracuse (3-6)
Stanford (3-6)
I say all this to say that we will probably lose to Pitts on the last game of the season to make it as gut wrenching and heartbreaking as possible
I’m not so confident we will go undefeated until the Pitt game.If there's a way to lose to Pitt - we'll certainly find it.
Coaching digs holes, and doesn't stop until the game is finished.
So we want Pitt to knock off ND on abc prime time, then put a beating on Pitt last week of season. The common opponent is Pitt. Here's something I find interesting. Since the game is at Pitt, ESPN/ABC owns the broadcast rights. Normally they would put Notre Dame on ABC but they have #8 BYU @ #9 Texas Tech in that slot. Understandable.
However, they have #5 UGA @ Weakass Mississippi State on ESPN and James Madison @ Marshall on ESPN2. ND-Pitt is on ESPN+. It almost looks to me like they're hiding Notre Dame from the national media this weekend. Can we expect some ACC officiating shenanigans in this one?
Depends on how desperate Mario is to finish 10-2. Mario may be willing to let Dawson pull out his bag of tricks and let Beck do his thing.I’m not so confident we will go undefeated until the Pitt game.
Syracuse is in shambles. I don’t see us losing to them. With NC State and VT - if there is a way to lose to them, we’ll certainly find it.
we were number 2 in the country on October 7th.Projections...
I remember when we were part of those.
Good times.
