Simple question I am proposing Tetragrammaton Cane, would you stay home or attend the game based on the current coronavirus information available. I want to live until I die and staying home with no sports, confined is not living. I hate cooking and want to go to a real restaurant, maybe go see a movie and attend my church and especially go to a Miami Hurricane college football game. I want our ranked baseball team on the field and see if they can win another NC, not sit at home. Risk and reward is which matters?

No way. I’m not worried about me, however getting the virus could cause harm to others. It’s socially irresponsible. I’m good with hanging out in small groups with people I know and trust. Large crowds aren’t going to be a thing for me, for quite some time.

FWIW this virus doesn’t bother me one bit. I’m in an essential services business. I’m working every day around people. I don’t want my staff, their families or anyone I care about that’s older or has a compromised immune system to get this. I go to work, home and back again Monday through Friday. I don’t believe concerts, football games or any gathering will be happening this colander year in its traditional form. It takes one fool who’s sick to ruin it for the group. There’s a lot of fools out there. Sucks, but it’s the new reality for anyone who hasn’t had it or is at risk. 🤷‍♂️

Just because they have a different perspective doesn't make them fools. Prejudices effect your argument. Some people see you as the fool. But then again that's perspective. Stay safe.

assume from you handle you are an MD, that should be a clue folks.

LOL, no, I lived in Maryland for several years. Back in FL now. Won’t let me change my screen name. I put a signature that says “Not a Dr.” but with all the site changes, it keeps disappearing. But I am smarter than most Dr’s and stayed at a Holiday Inn Express once.

Did you social distance at the Holiday Inn Express?

I’d go. I haven’t had a cold in 2 years. Chances are I was already exposed. My co-worker who sits 3 feet from me back in February had a bad case of the flu. Turns out he got it from his daughter who got it at preschool from a kid whose mother was in Wuhan a month earlier. That just goes to show how we don’t even realize how easily we can be exposed.

Perfect anecdote that hasn't been mentioned. I believe the same here. My wife's school the whole 4th grade was sick over a 3 week period with supposed flu. The cold symptoms ran through the family early February.
