Can we also get a new S&C coach?

Tired of seeing our guys get pushed around. Tired of seeing our guys look soft out there. The S&C coach is with the players all during the offseason, he has more contact with the players than the head coach.

And don't talk to me about old players coming back to train with Swasey. I don't care about old players coming back. They can't help us win anymore, we need someone who is going to toughen these kids up.

I also think we need to bring back full-contact practices. Canceling practices is something Al Golden does way too much of. Soft *** mentality starts at the top and permeates.

That's up to Butch

But real talk in four weeks he'll be fired

Agreed. When THE U RELOADED is released, you'll find Swasey was a bit part of that team, and you'll hear it from the players themselves.

The coach sets the tone, sets the need, sets the bar.

Golden wanted lifters. Well. Fack. We're not a weightlifting crew. We need quick, durable linemen who can beat their opponents in speed, reaction, and aggressiveness.

Golden wanted heavy, lifters to stand up and play pattycake. Butch's crew were friggin animals, and looked like the opposing QB had a pork chop around his neck, and our guys were a pack of dogs.

We had speed and quickness. Bear Bryant was known for his defenses, and set the tone at Alabama to this day, but he always had the lightest Dlinemen in college football. They were lighter, but they were quick, lightning slick, and attacked aggressively.

Golden had jewels here. But he wanted to turn them into something else.

Let Butch and Swasey work it out. They have some real-life experience doing this already. Right here at Miami.

The S&C of this team is actually not an issue. Physically, Miami looks like an SEC team. As it comes to football fundamentals and execution, we look like a Sunbelt team. Ok, that's an insult to that conference....a MAC team.

Swasey wasn't the S&C coach under Butch. That was Tommy Moffitt. Moffitt deserves 100 percent of the credit for the 2001 team.

It's not about how they look, it's about the fact that they're soft and they get pushed around.

If you can't stop the run up front, if you can't run the ball, if you suck at short yardage.... that's a question of effort and softness.

Maybe the ex players like Swasey so much because he's a nice guy and he doesn't scream in their face or push them hard like Moffitt did.

So?? Just because a coach is popular with the players doesn't mean he's a good coach.

I suppose you were a fan of Larry Coker as well.

Hey, dumbass. I stated clearly that "you'll hear it from the players themselves."

No speeky English?

You have a problem with it, take it up with the players. They apparently have a different opinion than you, and I tend to believe THEM, and non of your BS.

"I suppose you were a fan of Larry Coker as well"? You sure do suppose a lot.

You may want to take some remedial reading comprehension courses and come back when you get that GED level English.

I disagree. Our players look small as shlt compared to other top programs. Well, top programs, since we're now longer in their class.

Either way, our guys like small as **** aside from a few naturally gifted genetic freaks. Bunch of noodle arms and shrimp legs out there. We look soft.

We look soft and we are soft. What do Coker, Shannon, and Golden have in common? Swasey.

It's almost like this guy has nude pics of Shalala on a jumpstick or something, I mean who has this guy been blackmailing all these years to keep his job??

So why do former players in the NFL come back and work with Swasey in the offseason. Cause I've heard no more than a dozen say this

Because he goes easy on them probably. Need a break from their tough NFL training.

Just because someone's a nice guy who the players like doesn't mean he can coach. See Al Golden and Larry Coker.

Been saying it since forever. Swasey is a huge liability. Look how stiff some of our guys are..

The dude is has a deree in Psychology not exercise science...let that marinate

Why the **** would Moffitt leave LSU to come back here?

Man we don't even need Moffitt back, there are hundreds of S&C coaches out there who would do a better job than Swasey

Tired of the softness. We've been soft since the Coker years.... which is exactly when Swasey took over.

Enough is enough.

He's too buddy-buddy with the players. THat's why they all come back to train with him in the offseason... while other NFL players are taking a month off, some ex Miami players come back to get a light workout with their buddy Swasey.

This is not the man to be running our S/C operation.
