I'd rather use the bowl game as a spring game to get younger guys reps to see what we have heading into Spring.
I'd rather see Ny Carr getting reps than Mali. Same goes for Emory and Nickel (a half each), or Gilbert at TE, or what next year's projected OL looks like.
The bowl game and the practices should be used to evaluate the roster so we can make informed decisions about the roster, the portal, and NIL values.
