If Vandy jumps us this week in the CFP poll

Tennessee will defeat Vandy, Alabama will beat Auburn, and BYU's schedule just isn't as strong as ours. Just beat Pitt at this point--we'll get into a comparative ****ing match with Notre Dame. Just fighting to get into the committees' lame-*** clusters. They let us in based on the head-to-head and do the right thing, or completely up-end the own system and governance by leaving us out despite it.

Like I mentioned in another post after the Utah game. Based on our performance and their performance, we were goning to jump them.

Missouri lost which was Vandys best win. Have to imagine Missouri falls out of top 25 which would prevent Vandy from leaping us.

We will leap Utah. ND can't climb anywhere unless someone ahead of them loses IMO
But doesn't the committee give oregon credit for the penn state win because they were ranked at the time?

All true except an SMU loss doesn't help us. They own the tiebreaker against us. Instead of leaving it up to the committee I'd rather have UVA lose to VT, we sneak into the acc championship game and then no worries.... Unlikely but it's the best case scenario for us in my opinion

There are multiple scenarios for Miami to make it, one of which does in fact require an SMU loss.

Miami jumped Utah in both AP and Coaches Poll. I expect the same come Tuesday.

It’s really interesting from there. If BYU stays at 11 and loses the conference championship, they drop and are out because they are already on the outside looking in. But if say Oklahoma loses and BYU moves to 10, then BYU would be technically in before the conference championship. Would the committee still drop them and violate the no punishment rule?

LSU isn't beating OU. We likely lost our spot once Bama lost to OU.

I think it would be a travesty if we wouldn't get in. Miami is better than half the teams that are "in" right now. Lets see. I'm just so used to getting jobbed that I have no faith in the committee. That SMU loss killed us. If the committee watched that game they KNOW we actually won it. That was one of the worst officiated I've ever seen. You hate to use that as an excuse but it's the truth. Even with everything we'd been through in that game, that 4th down late hit call was garbage. That game was over
Are we really right now?

I agree, Tennessee probably beats Vandy next week but that wasn't my point. My point is that any system where people are ranking us based on"votes", we always get jobbed. That's the problem I see here. I'll stand by my original thought that the only way we get in is a miracle where we back into the ACC championship game and win it.
