Two reasons why:
1) We have an athletic director and president who are scared to death of what made Miami great, and really don't care to win big. As someone already said, 8-9 wins with a clean cut team and everything thing is all good
2) We have a new era of fans that for whatever reason have no expectations for the program and are also satisfied with 8-9 wins.
Things are made worse by the fact that Miami feels like it doesn't have to change much because the #2 people still are buying the product. Why would Miami fire Golden when there are still morons on this board who are blaming the players (rather than the coaches) for last night's loss?
