If this was ever to happen....

A lot of kids don't care about NFL stadiums or playing in NFL stadiums they like the atmosphere of College football, atmosphere college town that's why a lot of kids decided not to come to Miami they like that college atmosphere where the stadium is near the campus everything is there so you can have the best pro Stadium but lot of kids like that college football town atmosphere imo.

The administration never wanted a oncampus stadium. They screwed Howard over on it and that was the real reason he left. That will never happen. That ugly thing on our holy ground isn’t getting torn down either. Marlins might move and maybe we can get back in that building but not another new one on that site.

Not happening

Stay away from City of Miami anywhere else fine .

Marlins stadium like Mad Dog JIM Mandich said a MOON DOGGAL waste of taxpayers money.

It’ll die a slow death and taxpayers will still be paying the price for it.

Mad Dog was SPOT ON

Not PC.....
..but unfortunately Manny's dad was part of the cabal that sold out the OB to bring in the Marlins debacle

... really don't care to go back to the City. We have a beautiful facility and maroons crying 'bout some nostalgic tin shed..

.... and by the way, the attendance numbers were so ridiculously inflated, it was a joke.... there would be less than 30K and they would announce 53K... ..my friends and I would joke that they were counting the "no blockies" and their families too.

Yeah that’s it - we lost countless recruits to FSU, Bama and uga bc of the “small town feel” and “their stadiums”. Lulz

If lack of interest is a determining factor, it never would have been built to begin with.

RIP Orange Bowl. I never went, my family couldn't afford to drive down to Miami as a kid, pay for parking, tickets, drink, etc.

<----- We have Hard Rock Stadium though. Lets make a new legend. A new legacy.

Real talk, if Jeter does indeed decide to move the franchise elsewhere, what happens to that stadium? If the stadium was reconfigured, would it be able to hold 50k? That’s all we really need, w an option to expand another 10k for a major game.

I’ve never been to Marlins Park, I’ve only seen it from afar when that stadium host a football game.

they won't move it w that sweetheart MLB stadium deal. team isnt leaving that

And frankly, Hard Rock is configured way better for watching football. I've seen pictures of Marlins Park, and there are spots and angles that are awkward to watch football from. Sure, they could reconfigure the stadium for football, but the Hurricanes would have to pay for that, and we had to have our former head coach donate 1 million of his own money to get the IPF running.

We've got a great stadium with a roof that is **** LOUD when the crowd is ornery and fired up. We've got the big jumbotron and seating capacity for big games. We're good.

We need an on campus stadium. **** Coral Gables and the city of South Miami.

i agree and tbh, its not even wroth discussing. the marlins aren't going to relocate with the stadium built for them

Any kid who wants "a traditional college atmosphere " isn't coming to UM anyway. Contrary to popular belief, the Orange Bowl wasn't on campus either. It was closer than HRS but let's not pretend students were walking there.

it was a metro and bus ride away. i like HRS much better than OB as currently constructed. the renovations made to HRS have been amazing for the atmosphere

we used to hold it there randomly (remember the half field spring game under golden w a carnival on the other side)

I’m so glad I don’t remember that. I didn’t go to Spring games under Golden. It wasn’t worth traveling 8 hours to see nothing change.

Haven’t missed one since Golden and can’t wait for this years.

i assume youre in tally, so you'll only have a four hour drive this time around. as an aside, i know guys like laz and all canes idiot hate that the SG will be in orlando, but i love them moving it up there even if it is temp. i dont even mind if they went to tampa next year and just did a tour of the state. expose the program to areas that are heavily gator and nole and rebuild the interest in masses. also allows out of area recruits to be able to see the program without having to make a 3-4 hour drive down
