This forum is the exception, a lot of posters I’ve seen on Reddit and YouTube seem to like Diaz as coach for another year 🙄. I don’t get it, I think a lot of them are just the typical blind homer that defends anything their team does; or nephews that weren’t alive during Miami’s glory days and this is all they know. And in my mind at least, a Jurich hire represents the difference between a changing of the guard and the same old same old. Zero chance Jurich takes the job with bozo the clown coaching
 
I still think this is all a smokescreen and that Jurich, Zo and Mario will all be hired, but if we f^ck this up starting with the AD...there has never been a clearer time to make a significant change LIKE THEY PROMISED. You would think the local and national embarrassment on and off the field is enough.

This is F^cked to say so please don't take this the wrong way, but if we don't see changes this time around, when it's never been more apparent...I fear we will have to wait for these Old heads to literally croak and die...

The best & most prudent decision is usually never the one that everyone wants.

If we don’t get Jurich it will mainly be because he refuses to acquiesce to political preconditions before taking the job. If you’re an AD makes no sense to take a job where your Football & Baseball coaches are pretty much already predetermined for you, even for good pay not having autonomy makes the job more difficult to manage because if things go wrong you just end up the scapegoat when none of it was even you’re idea in the first place.

If we get Jurich it’s because he assured them he’ll follow protocol as they see fit, which can be both a good & bad thing, depending on how you look at it.

Not on the ledge at all, simply stating the facts.

I’m not a blind believer, I have no reason to be. Yes things are looking much brighter than they have in a long time, but until it actually happens I’m not going to drink the Kool-aid.

Also, people usually misinterpret my every word on here because I’m way more objective than most.

I’m fine bruh, I’ve seen way worse situations & because I analyze our situation without Orange colored glasses it confuses people. Basically because I’m not a homer people think I’m more upset than I actually am lol I just look at the situation for what it is & not what I want it to be 🤷🏽‍♂️

When will they make an effing decision and announcement? I want the guy in place by Saturday and sack Manny on Sunday. Utter bullsh*t.

The part that is hard to comprehend is that, if the decision has been made, then what could the BOT be debating?

I understand if a decision was made but for many sound undisclosed reasons, it has not been made public. For example, optics, timing with other decisions, impact to internal employees and communication with other candidates, etc. Zero issue with the wait.

However, if there is truly a power struggle between the old guard vs. the new guard, then the decision was never made. There might have been a recommendation or an initial favorable, non binding vote, but there was no final decision.

My comments are NOT intended to discredit any insider (I appreciate and am grateful for their contributions). I am just having a difficult time reconciling the report that a final decision was made with reports that an internal battle rages between two factions of the BOT.

Trust me! Old Guard don't give up easy. They get them some new quacks that don't give a **** about nobody or nothing when it come to their agenda.
