If the coastal is out of reach

Will the admin and Flake pull the trigger on Al?

I agree that so long as we have a realistic possibility of winning the ACC coastal, you gotta keep Foldo only because when you fire a head coach you are essentially packing it in, especially with the incompetent interim head coach candidates.

I don't buy that "evaluation at the end of the season" bvll**** either because Blake James can't be that naive. He should know that he would need to get a jump on the many coaching candidates that there will be come December 1st. So, once we are eliminated from the coastal mathematically, I think they will can him and begin the search process.

What do you guys think?

This wouldn't surprise me, but it also wouldn't surprise me if the buyout goes down at the end of the season and the Hecht brain trust decides to prioritize $$$ over salvaging the recruitment class.

I think Blake is praying he doesn't have to fire him.
Blake does not look like he has the intestinal fortitude to go through a thorough search progress and hire someone for tge job.

Its not the "politically correct" thing to do.

Also, this coaching staff is so bad that firing Golden guarantees we lose the rest of our games.

If Golden is fired, Dnofrio will be gone as well. We literally have nobody that can run the defense.

The buyout has nothing to do with it.

Blake wants to send Golden off respectfully. Also, this team will literally lose every game if Dnofrio and Golden are fired.

...what if...he already fired Gluten and he told him to finish out the season?

...I just blew all y'all knee-grow's minds

....sadly, they won't fire until the end of season

Are you serious? If that happened Golden would be on the first plane out of town with a demand letter from his attorney for the full amount of his buyout within 10 days.

Half the prosters here are brain dead.

Flake is NOT going to decide when Fraulden gets canned (if ever), or his replacement. The BOT will reserve that for themselves. You see, Flake might unconsciously, accidentally, by dumb luck, hire a good coach (what am I saying?). That would run counter to the BOT's plan to destroy Cane football.

i could see them losing every game the rest of the way with them. not to mention the earlier you cut ties with these losers the higher the probability you salvage the recruiting class for next year. this is why most major programs don't wait.

I don't believe Blake James is able to make any decisions on his own, not that he would fire Golden anyway.

Blake isn't firing Golden period. It all starts with president and on down. If the president knows the ridiculous amount of money a solid football program can bring in- they'll cut the cord with AG. I highly doubt they care about that. They seem to be ok with Acc money and Adidas deal. Fold the program

If the buyout is in the millions than it is in the schools best interest to wait if it in fact decreases a significant amount after the season. Especially if they have a couple "splash' candidates on their radar. I have no doubt he will get fired. I also think he has done enough for Miami (off the field) for them to wait until the last regular season game to let him go.

Both USC's are in different situations and will not have to pay any buyouts.

Valid point right here. NCAA stuff was a pain in the *** regardless of how ****ty he is as a coach.

Is there a site that's running statistical odds that Miami wins Coastal? I have to think after the loss to FSU, our odds are <50%.

Probably far less than 50%. Pitt, Duke, UNC all undefeated in ACC plus they don't need to play Clemson and FSU.

Coastal will be out of reach by the end of this month. Guaranteed loses to Clemson and Duke. VT is a toss up.

They're going to give him every chance to provide them with a reason to retain him. The Coastal is a steaming sack of buttcheeks, so even with Golden being a fat loser, it make take a while to be eliminated as every other retarded progrum takes turns puking on itself and losing games to each other.

When we're finally eliminated, I have a feeling they'll let him finish out the year. The A.D. is too gutless and light in the loafers to fire him, they'll view it as mean or label it "workplace bullying" or something equally g@y. We'll have to wait until the season ends to bid this walrus farewell.

No. Golden will not be terminated mid-season. The on-field results are meaningless to the morons at UM. The only angle I can see that might get pyrite fired is the fact that his APR has dropped every year since he's arrived. (That's right; Randy Mumbles Shannon had higher graduation rates than Mr. Blue Eyes himself). But even this would likely require UM to have to wait until next June, so it's a moot point within the context of this season.
