...then we should expect a detailed article from Barry Jackson (and possibly others) within the next month about how exactly EVERYTHING went down.

Sauces don't necessarily need to be burned but local media cannot maintain ANY journalistic credibility after being used as conduits to disseminate propaganda and misinformation as fact in a public relations ploy to shape or disrupt university efforts and then proceed like nothing happened.

All that said....don't hold your collective breath. The most we'll probably get is Mike Ryan and our CIS brethren with actual sauces spelling out the nonsense that was pulled by those grasping at their threatened power over this program.

I know what you're saying, but...they will find some way to spin things so that each of them seem PERFECTLY reasonable. I recall Fur-Man doing something similar when all of his reporting proved to be garbage a few years ago.

You'll see some type of story about how everything went down. Whether it is accurate or just pollyanna bs that "he was the guy we wanted all along", remains to be seen.
Exactly and I bet it essentially ends up reading like a sanitized tweet thread but on the Herald website.

I think the only way that we're going to get anything remotely real from those that are being used as pawns now is if they were somehow called out by other members of the media here.

Mike Ryan is seemingly not vindictive enough to do it and the Joe Rose local radio types simply don't care and there's nobody in print media I can possibly see calling out the bull**** going on here even if it would actually earn them some bona fides.

Unless the university sends it out in a press release for them to paraphrase, I doubt we'll ever know.

I get they may not know anything…but when you as a journalist run puff pieces like the one this morning about how coaching changes may not be the answer…

They are mouth pieces for their point of view. Nothing more. Nothing less.

Journalism been dead no pulse , just Ron Burgundy types reading a corporate script.

No interest at all in Journalism, they need to find a different name to call it .

Best they can do is SMD.

Instead this is what we continue to get today. And this is from Mrs. Dave Barry so she should be less inclined than someone whose entire financial security might rest on playing this game but the hackery and acting as willing propaganda conduits continues:

what a lazy article. the fact that she said "Diaz was considered the right guy" immediately disqualifies her gibberish. not one person I know who loves football every said that.
