@RVACane
Regrettably, from day one, many (the HERD) on this message board attacked Coach Richt for his religious beliefs. They derisively referred to him as, "Pastor Richt." Is that not attacking the man personally?
But, it didn't stop there, they personally attacked his wife and son. A HERD member promoted doing everything possible to destroy Coach Jonathan Richt because this would force his father to resign.
If someone publicly stated they were going to try and ruin your son, daughter or any family member as a way to force you to do as they want, no matter who your family member was employed by, would you consider that to be personal? I know I would!
They accused CMR of stealing money from the University of Miami.
This after he stroked a check for
one million dollars to help ensure the indoor practice facility became a reality. Had he not championed the indoor practice facility where do you think the program would be today as it relates to future recruiting and preparing our teams for upcoming opponents?
HERD members in a concerted effort attempted to besmirch his legacy as a coach by constantly skewing his past accomplishments to the negative. Here again, I would sure as **** consider that to be personal.
In reality, a high percentage of the comments from the HERD was personal and painted the man as a low life.
Yet, in the end, despite all the hate and lies directed at Coach Richt by the HERD the man elected to walk away from countless millions and other significant benefits because he believed it was in the best interest of the University of Miami and the future of the football program. That was a personal decision due to his love of the "U."
By the way, the HERD is just waiting for the first Canes loss or two during next season, or for that matter, simply a poorly played game, and then this 15 year-long hate fest will get kicked back into high gear again with Manny Diaz being the new target to be destroyed.
