It's not so much that he's starting Malik, I mean that's bad, but what's making it so excruciating is the lack of competition. You can't have no competition on Greentree in the one hand, and then complain that people aren't getting better in the other.
You can't tell me that he was so convincing against Virginia and Boston College that there shouldn't be some competition between he and somebody else.
At least give the other guys an opportunity to run with the first team. Malik has been running with the first-team for a year-and-a-half and he's not any better. You know what you're getting. He's not going to read defenses any better, he's not going to make more accurate throws, he's not going to help chemistry with some of the wide receivers. The other guys might.
