do not separate themselves from each other..If Trevor Lawrence could beat out successful senior QB Kelly Bryant last year...why not:

Peyton

Highlights

Love how he delivers the long ball and also how he reacts to pressure. Lots of freshmen have started at QB an done well...why not here? Enos has done it before and he obviously loves the kid. He has an awesome first name. ;)

I just got a chance recently to watch his film and I admit, I was very impressed! I do think it will benefit him to redshirt (hopefully he can play in up to 4 games) but he may make some noise down the road.

I'll never forget how our O magically looked better in 1999 when a freshman Ken Dorsey came in. It is VERY possible for a freshman QB to just have it.

Lawrence was the best QB recruit in the country. Had the height and an incredible arm and still didn’t start until 5 games into the season. Let’s dial it back a little bit and blow into a breathalyzer before the next post.
He also had to beat out a proven winner. Something Peyton won't have to do.

Trevor was arguably the most hyped QB recruit of all time. Yeah, let's dial it back a bit for sure.

The kid is pretty good... but, the HS to college transition is not easy!

Face it, we do not have a quality, proven starter. That makes it much easier for an incoming freshman to win the job. Peyton doesn't need to be a 5 star, greatest QB recruit in history type to beat out the three guys in front of him.

Well we went through spring ball and none of them took control. Not saying I'd suggest it, just saying it has worked for others and having watched Peyton's highlights I love what I saw. And it has been hinted at here and there that this kid is incredible. Did you watch Enos comments? or the highlights?

The possibility of this happening is LESS THAN ZERO......i.e. NONEXISTENT

It probably doesn't even happen in his dreams.

Sorry, man, I didn't mean my comment to come across as super critical of your initial post. I was just adding to DualThreat's comment that not only was Trevor a much more heralded recruit than Peyton, he was quite possibly the most hyped QB recruit ever. So any comparison to Trevor or Trevor's situations will always be a tough one.

Sure, I guess there's no reason Peyton can't win the job. I just personally don't think that's in the coaches' heads. I believe they will redshirt him and are solely focused on figuring out which of the other three give us the best chance to win. Maybe I'm wrong.

I'm definitely excited about Peyton long-term.

Forget Lawrence and his situation. We have two guys that couldn't beat out Rosier, and one that can't beat out those two. Peyton doesn't have to be Lawrence, Marino or Vick. He just has to be better than the others on the roster. Others, who up to this point, have proven about as much as Peyton at this level. Very **** little.

Just play whoever is best. No discussion needed. If all are the exact **** same then play whoever has most eligibility remaining. But really it’s never like that. Someone will rise to the top

Right, but you're judging Kosi and Williams on the basis of that succubus of an offensive scheme and coaching staff last year (the latter who really didn't even get a chance even in the sh-t system) and a guy who has been here only a few months. I'm quite confident one of them will rise to the top, like what was just said. If it's Peyton, cool! I just don't think it will be.
