we don't have the payroll to hire good quality assistants, then why doesn't this guy take a pay cut so we can AFFORD IT because I ain't seeing a 4 million dollar a year coaching product out there

Dude did donate $1M to the IPF, credit for that.

It's not about the money for Richt, it's about his stubborness. He took the job here to call plays, he doesnt want to be a CEO type. And we are doomed because he wont change. He'll continue to win 9-10 games a year and we'll never fire him. Wait until he retires in 10 years. FML
 
Dumb IMO.

Unless it's CMRs idea.

Giving any employee a pay cut, remember CMR is an EMPLOYEE, almost always leads to a downgrade in a performance.

Just think, people been ****ting on Shannon for years despite the fact that he was only making 900k per year, which means his assistants were probably getting paid by the hour! Lol

That donation was a long con. He gets the tax writeoff, gets his son and wife handsomely paid yearly that the donation looks nothing more than a drop in the bucket.

I think most of the defensive staph was hired for ties to Diaz. Banda and Patke go back to Diaz at Manny’s prior jobs. Rumph for his allegedly recruiting ties. Simpson? Jury is out but the DL is playing at a high level. Hard to argue.

Kul was making a lot of money at Miami. He was hired before Manny. I suspect Kul did not get along with Diaz. Kul did not respect Richt. So, he had to go. Kul has to respect Saban.

Richt isn’t going to hire anyone who isn’t a follower. Loyal.

Remember Jeremy Pruitt? DC hired away from FSU for a lot of money. I suspect the AD forced Pruitt on Richt, but there’s no proof. Pruitt did not respect Richt and split for Bama when Richt was let go.
 
Just another myth that's been spouted by the Richt apologists since day 1.

It's more important to him to hire ppl he's comfortable and familiar with then to hire the best guys out there. He mainly hired within his coaching circle, as most coaches do... problem is his coaching circle is a ******* disaster.
 
It's over. The Rev has the program and school by the short hairs. He peaked in 2012. Everyone saw it. This, like with Fat Al and Shantard, is our new normal. As presently constructed, you are certifiably clueless if you think we'll ever win a championship of any kind again.
 
We have the bread, it's just being mismanaged.

-Patke 's position shouldn't even exist. He's doing a good job, and I'm happy for him, but his job is a waste.

-Banda and Rumphs positions are redundant. Should have one db coach.

-Brown is making waaaaay too much money for what he's doing.

-Baby Richt shouldn't have a job either, and that has nothing to do w his performance or name. The OC should also be the QB coach imo.
