For the last 10 years he will be beloved by MIAMI fans.

Yes or No?

1 conference title
5 division titles
Averaged right at 10 wins per year

Look at his first 5 seasons when he called offense ...

2 Conference titles (probably go to playoffs both times if playoffs were a thing back then. have shot at NC
3 division titles
10 wins per year ( 11 per season if take out first year)

Plus at Miami Richt will run his type of offense

With this I think he would be loved at Miami. Figure some years FSU and Clemson might be really good when they got players like Winston or Watson

No coaches are measured by national titles here. To be loved he needs to win at least one. Or do what Butch did and build a team that can win one.

He'd be celebrated by the limp-wristed losers who have overrun our fan base. We had fake fans still sucking up to Folden in 2015. They'd be paralyzed with glee if Richt wins 9 per year like he did at UGA.

UM fans shouldn't lower our expectations to below a second tier program like UGA. What he did at UGA wasn't good enough for UGA. It shouldn't be good enough for UM either.

Division titles mean nothing. You at least need to be winning the ACC, beating FSU, and in the playoff mix

If he doesn't win 9 out of 10 Playoffs he's worthless
Can't even give a championship thought for 4/5 years with the players Golden left him..Think once those guys cycle through we'll be back in the High Life of College Football, until then we'll just have to keep hating Notre Dammit, UNC and Clemson..

I think this is the reasonable response in this thread. Only 1 team can win every year. Lots of things can happen during a season. To hope to be in the discussion every year means we have a shot most season if not every year. Having a shot is more than 95% of the NCAA can ask for.

Golden failed because he could not even compete in the ACC Coastal, let alone the conference. That's a low bar, so expecting to win or compete for the ACC title every year is the bare minimum. Beating FSU, a nationally strong program currently, is equally important. While championships are ultimately the most important result, it's not reasonable to dictate success based on number of titles won, but if we are reasonably in the mix more often than not, I'll take it. If we can get there, we'll get one if not more.

IMO, Richt picked Miami to compete for national tiles. If I was just about collecting checks and winning the Coastal, he could have taken the UVA job.

He took a job with much higher expectations, so he must share those expectations.

He went from coaching to being the CEO, and the team played like it. They came out flat for most of the really big games. I have family that are season ticket holders, and even they said he had to do certain things "the Georgia Way", whatever that is.

He was going through the motions, and still had success in the SEC. He's excited now. I know one of the local coaches who's friends with Hartley and Brown, and they've said he's a different person now. He's acting 10 years younger.

What he did at UGA was far more than they should have ever expected.

People like to say "he had talent at Georgia and didn't win a ship there". Man, there is talent all over the **** country. Always has been. What i love about Florida(miami) talent is the mentality. You could take a guy from Dade county and a guy from brooklyn with the same attributes, athletically.

But, mentally, the guy from dade will be much tougher and will want it far more than the brooklyn guy 9 times out of 10.

It was like the time I watched Georgia's best high school football team play Booker T in one of the those nationally televised games.

With all of the talent that Georgia team had. They got smashed by Booker T to the tune of like 50+ nothing.

Booker T was a much smaller team too. They were just tougher, grimier, and wanted it more. I think Chris Herndon played on that team too. Probably why he chose to come play with some Florida Boys!!

Richt knows the type of Animals he will be able to mold here. He knows the expectations.

He'll rise to the occasion!! :sneakiness:
