If Mario doesn’t happen

Don't project. And think more. OAN is not CNN or even Fox for that matter.

Bottom line is that was a major problem in f'ing STILLWATER OKLAHOMA. He had to take a $1M pay cut for it. If you don't think that would preclude him from becoming coach at la Universidad de Miami in Dade County, you're even dumber than your post.
A T-shirt of a right leaning news network? LMAO. The propaganda in this country is out of control. It’s a free county until you go against corporate media, and left virtue. Incredible dynamic these days as the folks raging against the machine are now pawns of the machine but are too stupid to see it.
Let’s go Brandon!

So if it were a CNN shirt he’d be 1a? I don’t have a F what his political beliefs are and FL is a red state so who cares anyway.
lol Come on man.

Did Brian White replace Chun?? If so, he worked with Kiffin for two seasons and people have said they get along.
Yes, I believe he did replace him. Getting along is not the same as hiring. Also, if he hired Taggart, that’s a red flag for me. Dude is Al Golden 2.0.

I couldn't care less what his political leanings are. However, if those leanings negatively affect his ability to recruit certain kids because their background disagrees with those leanings, then, yes it is a problem. Has he had any negative impact on his recruiting numbers over the past year or 2? I don't know.

I don't want a coach who has a Biden/Harris sticker on his car or wears an OAN shirt in a public forum. Just give me a coach who doesn't blast his personal beliefs on religion or politics. Go right down the middle of the road publicly, otherwise you turn off 50% of the population.

Mike Gundy will retire as the OK St HC, he’s never leaving.

He played QB there for Pat Jones, got his first job ever as a coach there under Bob Simmons, got hired by Les Miles to be his OC & took over as HC once Les took the LSU job & has been there ever since.

Gundy been at OK ST for the last 22 years of his life & not to mention he literally grew up there.

If Mario stays in Oregon, Lane is undoubtedly the top choice, IMO I’d take Lane over Mario, but I know that wouldn’t happen lol.

The only way Mario doesn’t come back is if Oregon makes the playoffs & they give him a big pay raise contract extension that puts him at $6-7mill per year, otherwise I think he’s coming to Miami.
If Mario stays, I agree Kiffin but would like to see Herman get an interview as well.

Of course a difference. Hiring White say over Chun would be better in hiring Lane. Heck, that should be a question for potential AD. Who is on your list of coaches if you had to hire??

Gundy isn't coming here. Full stop - put that one to bed.

I'm lukewarm on Lane. It'd be fun, but don't think he'd stick around, and don't know if he's a culture builder (worry he's a Bobby Petrino clone).

I'd like Clawson to get a look if Mario says no.

Lane would use Miami as a rest stop to a bigger job, or jump back to the NFL. Can't see him sticking around more than a few years.

Mario would plant his flag in Miami and would be a life-type if he got the Canes turned around; which would be welcomed after so many great ones came and went too quickly—Howard, JJ, Butch.

I think every move UM is making right now is to lure Mario home—knowing this is his dream job and that he's only coming IF he feels the Canes are committed to winning big.

If we got Lane, we would be in serious contention for the Coastal and ACCHCGM his first year. Mario would probably be a bit more of a slow build. This is what pulls me toward Lane - I think out of everyone, he would be the fastest track to Miami winning 10 games a season again.
The right guy comes in and this team wins 10+ for sure. Good amount of talent coming back and we have a QB.

Mario and Lane are in my top 2. If Chun hired Lane that’s a plus in his column. White hiring Taggart is a big fat minus. Outside of them, I would be fine with Stoops or even Herman.
