Terrifying thought, but if Manny is brought back for next season, does he hire a new DC or does he give his current DC a raise? Will Manny bring in a DC if he is back next season?

If he survives it will be due to the complete ineptitude of the ACC Coarstal. Nobody wants to win it. An injection of young talent may be what the team needs but at the end of the day our OL is still horrible, the DL gets no pressure and our LB's are...our LB's. I'll keep putting my orange and green shades on each week but I don't see us being the type of team to rally and make a legit run through the ACC schedule. Too many holes both on the field and the sidelines.

Right, but if he survives this season, do you believe he will remain as DC or hire a scape goat…er…I mean a new DC.

Your guess is as good as mine. I genuinely believe his D will never return to 2017 levels and we'd be better (assuming Manny is the HC next season) off hiring someone else to come in and impliment their own scheme. Get us away from this gimmicky crap that is completely dependent upon dominating the LOS because we don't have the trench bullies to do that. Not sure if Manny would swallow his pride and turn the D over to someone else completely. If anything it would probably be another Blake Baker type hire to run the same scheme, and we saw how effective that was last year.

Which is ultimately why I'd prefer we clean house top to bottom.

Because he's not a real coach, everything he does is based off of making excuses and contingency plans for the excuses.

This years excuse was firing his boys and "betting on himself" as DC (even though we all know its been his defense the whole time)

Next years excuse is set up as "I bet on myself and it didn't work. Now I'll hire a defensive coordinator (which will be Shoop, or some other goon running the same Manny scheme) and will essentially reset the hot seat.

Its all scheming with him because he doesn't know how to run a team.

However, if he's dead set on putting King back out there, and all the awful upper-classmen, he's going to lose and I don't think **** survive the season.

Blake will give him "the talk" like he did with Richt and Manny will slink out in the quiet of the night and take a job somewhere else.

Manny will not survive the season provided he loses 3 more games (my estimate)...if he loses 2 more games and backs into the Coastal he might survive. He deserves to be fired but knowing our gutless administration and our indifferent and incurious BOT, he probably survives.

Good question but I would think he or Patke would be the only reasonable candidates. We don't have any excess on the offensive side, and I doubt DVD or T-Rob are going anywhere if Manny can help it.
T-Rob getting poached would be a kick in the balls but it's the kind of thing we should probably come to expect. I'd like to get a few years out of him mentoring DVD before that happens.
