If Coach L believes that TVD has the goods to be the starter this season, barring an injury, we could be building and establishing something. I would love to have a QB performing at a high level for 3 years in a row. At the end of the day, we need 10 wins this season, so however and whoever can get us there is who we should roll with, but if Lash can make it work with TVD, we could start rolling the Coastal on the regular, like the ACC framers always intended, and then make a move for loftier things once T-Law graduates.

I could give two craps if this is unreasonably optimistic, I'm going into 2020 hoping for the best.

There’s always next year.

My way to early guess is it’ll be Perry. I’m no coach and completely not qualified to give a way too soon answer but that’d be my guess. He messes up entirely too much but is decisive regardless. After Williams said he went through the motions, I was done. Sure, that’s to be expected to some degree but a leader doesn’t say that. Low key hope Peyton has the goods to make it interesting.

I think williams transfers and I would ride with perry he makes mistakes but it **** sure looks like he gives effort. Tate can go back on PTO

I hope it’s ground zero for every QB when he comes in but Williams can go. If it’s TVD, that’s fine. I think Perry ends up bridging the gap though.

Devils advocate. The thing is is maybe one of these QBs (not just this regime but going back a few years) may have been successful with the same Offense for a career. It’s almost impossible to have success with multiple changing offensive coordinators every year. If TVD starts..... which is a long shot - and he comes and has a normal or even above average freshman season but overall the team is not great and we have another coaching change - where does that put him? Back to square one. Miami hasn’t had a consistent offensive staff since I remember. Not saying any of the offensive coaches have ever deserved to keep their jobs (because they haven’t) but consistency makes a difference.

Lot of people sleeping on Peyton Matocha. Kid has the arm and mobility to push for being the starter. Plus he’s had a year in the S&C program under Feeley. If it’s a question of getting a new starter out there given Jarren’s stupid comments then I’m not of the belief Perry is the answer either. To work a spread offense effectively you need to be accurate or you’re going 3 and out consistently wearing your defense out completely. Give me accuracy and mobility and that is when Lashlee can work his magic. For my money on the roster currently that’s Matocha or TVD. Or, you bring in a grad transfer QB and have all of them compete; and I mean really compete, for the starters role.
