If Kliff Kingsbury were to get fired he should be our next OC

Def would take him. His defenses suck but no one plays d in the Big 12. He is still young so let him do work with the athletes here.

Not crazy about Kingsbury. I think he benefited from a generational QB (say what you want about Manziel now but he was a dawg in college).

I'm also no fan of the Air Raid. I want spread concepts, but based on power/run-first schemes.

At Texas Tech, Kliff benefited from a much better QB than Manziel....

any head coach is going to want an OC that is on the same page as him...do you think Richt would accept him? It boils down to that.

Would give Miami better access/relationships across the state of Texas which would be huge in recruiting

This. Air Raid would be an upgrade over Richt but power spread should be the goal. Tom Herman, Ryan Day style of offense. If we want to recruit elite offensive linemen we need pro-style run schemes not gimmicky wide splits with a limited run game.

Erickson ran a variation of the Air Raid and it worked pretty well. Air Raid can be adapted to the talent. Good rb? More plays out of backfield. Don't have to have giant splits either. Air Raid would be great with Williams (if accuracy is as good as advertised]

I want whatever concepts score freaking points. I don't care if it is a "wishbone" if we can run it, move the chains, and score points......run it. Just burn the stinking playbook CMR is using now.

I'd hire you if you can call plays that move the ball and score. :onthego:

If we are going to go with an Air Raid guru, I'd prefer Sonny Cumbie from TCU. He incorporates more power running into his scheme. Klingsbury has proven to be overly fond of passing. His best season in terms of rushing offense was Pat Maholmes' first year as a starter where he pretty much was the rushing offense on the team.
