Richt wont hire a OC and will sell to everyone that he now has a capable QB. When in reality Bryant isn’t that good and Richt is so old and stubborn he will stick with his JV offense. I really hope this isn’t the case.

If Bryant comes here, the young guys are going to bounce. He won't be going anywhere to sit, and there is no way one or both of Perry/Williams are down with yet another year behind an inferior older arm talent.

I want what wins us more games, but he is going to cost us a future season to win 8 games in 2019, and I am not sure that is worth it.

Arm talent is not there. J Wills arm is so much better...DON'T WANT! not at the risk of losing J. Wills
his arm talent is there. From last year he was already considered a better thrower than Jalen hurts and he has significantly improve. If you had watch Clemson vs Texas A&M, you would have seen how much better he got from last year, that being said, I don't want him for the same reason either.

He can't hit the intermediate to long routes with enough touch. That is why Lawrence took his job. He has a strong arm, but J. Wills is a much more polished passer.

he's not that bad but he will struggle in Richts offense and look slightly better than rosier. Richt would make aaron rodgers look like an average QB

No, Lawrence took his job because he's the best QB prospect since Peyton Manning. It has nothing to do with Bryant. It has everything to do with Lawrence being the #1 pick in the NFL draft in April of 2021.

I agree with this, personally think this would be terrible for us. It was just give Richt more time to continue to run his pathetic offense.

At this point I'm actually rooting for Richt to win that offseason argument. Assuming our puppet AD grows a sack and tells Richt to hire an OC, the best thing that could happen for Canes fans is for Richt to say no.

The leash would instantly get shorter and you can bet everything his underqualified *** would continue sucking....which could help expedite his departure.

No transfers, no coaches.....we burn one more year and then HOPEFULLY get a decent coach.

Respectfully disagree. Not that Lawrence isn't going to be great, but that Bryant was canned for those reasons. Bryant struggled in the intermediate to long passing game against better teams. Lawrence can make the throws more consistently...it was a no-brainer. Dude led them to the playoffs last season. His struggles were personified against Bama, where he floundered, and then in the Spring and Fall Camp.

Kelly Bryant was 12/17 for 200+ yards and a TD against Texas A&M this year, on the road, with another 54 yards rushing and a TD.

Wake me up when anyone on Miami's roster completes 71% of their passes for over 12 yards an attempt and runs for another 50.

Rodger's would audible every play that Richt sends in to something that will actually work

I appreciate the respectful response, but frankly, you're wrong. Lawrence took his job because he's better. Plain and simple.

But he's better than anyone else in the country. Trent Dilfer, who knows these things pretty well, said at The Opening LAST SUMMER that Lawrence was better than 15 starting QBs....in THE NFL. So there's no shame in losing your job to Lawrence.

Now, is Dilfer the end all? Of course not. But he works with HS kids all the time, is a former NFL QB, etc. That's absolutely insane praise. Lawrence threw a ball earlier this year against Wake that was measured at 61MPH. In the history of the NFL Combine, the highest velocity on a thrown pass was 58MPH. Again, doesn't mean he's Joe Montana. But combine all this with just watching the kid play. He's a legit prodigy. He's as good a prospect as many, many, many people who do this for a living have ever seen.

Did Bryant struggle at times throwing the ball downfield last year? Absolutely. Is he the answer to all Miami's prayers? No. But don't knock the kid. He can absolutely play. And he's better than anything I've seen Miami put on the field in a long time.

We're going to potentially start the same QB that Clemson's true freshman unseated 4 games into the season. If anyone thinks that's okay, than I don't know what to tell you.

Not "Clemson's true freshman". Try "The #1 Overall pick in 2021". You guys haven't watched this kid play, or what? I'm legitimately confused. There is NO SHAME in having your job taken by Trevor Lawrence. He's the best HS QB prospect I've ever seen.

It wasn't spectacular by any means but Perry's play Saturday has to give Richt some type of confidence he can get better especially since he will have 2 more starts and possibly 3 if we win one of those games. Add in the off-season and Williams then I think its crazy to bring him in.

Richt needs to stay the course and let N'Kosi and Jarren battle it out to see who wants to lead this team into the future. We need to grab another QB for back up purposes but I'm on the boat of letting these two young guns go at it. What we need is OLine and Dline players. That's what is going to win us games.
