Ironic everyone wants an established winning replacement for Manny but our great coaches BECAME great at the U. Howard had no college history, JJ was from OK St, Erickson was considered innovative but was from Washington, Davis had little history he was only an assistant before his U run and Coker started our downward trend as a super lame HC. I know it isn't popular but I believe with one more year Manny would improve this team as our trend is upward talentwise. The main problem with keeping him one more year is he is a dead man walking publicity wise which makes it hard to recruit. There is the portal for him and he has been excellent at using it. Recruiting has been the way to success but now the portal has changed that. Look at the teams who cannot recruit 4 and 5 stars that have exploited the portal which has caused parity. The impact of the portal on College football is the same as free agency in other sports.
 
Not in any capacity as a coach. 100% for some semi retired, recruiting consultant type role. Imagine being able to send Butch some film “hey coach what do you think of this kid?”

I love Butch, wanted him back instead of Richt but only way he should come back is if UM made him AD for a day just so he could fire Manny. Maybe even have Mac on a big screen via a live feed as he does it.
