The really crazy part to me is people think just having him around will elevate this program back to the old days. Like it doesn't even matter how much he's got in the tank, just sit him in the corner and we'll dominate.

Let it go? **** no... These are the same people slurping the Manny hire. Slurping the Randy hire. Slurping the Golden hire. Butch has been the best man for the job for the last 20 years. At age 80, Butch would be better than our last 4 hires, and there is a high probably that he is better than our next hire. Let me repost this below. It is his complete understanding of the culture that works here at The U. It is not a flashy turnover chain. It is not cheeseburgers... If there is a formula that has worked here, why do we keep trying something new?

Butch did a great job recruiting and developing and building the culture. And obviously you can point out all the talented guys on the team, but at the time, they weren't the biggest recruits and the five-star guys. A lot of what we did, Butch should get credit for. It was a competitive culture and accountability was huge and he built a family environment.

I'm done with bringing him back his time is over. When they hired Mar and destroyed that hire that was his last chance
