You’re spinning and deflecting. your point is idiotic. Managing something effectively doesn’t guarantee success - it’s a competitive world and people are imperfect. However, managing things poorly (or barely) almost always ensures suboptimal outcomes.
You think dabo doesn’t manage venables? that’s just an idiotic view. it’s wrong. you could contend that there’s no proof he manages him well ... but i think the clemson program is pretty good evidence that dabo is, in fact, a good manager.
so you’re left with whether manny manages well. he has no experience managing and he’s done nothing to suggest he’s good at it. and there’s plenty of reason to doubt he is. but maybe you just fancy he’s a great manager. that’s your right.
He's a good defensive coordinator. Baker is not. That's all there is to it. It's football, you don't have to go deeper than that. Manny is better at Baker's job than Baker is. Period. Compound that with replacing kids like Shaq with players who belong at FIU (absolutely Manny's fault), you get what you got this year. It's just football. Many of the people who coach it have double-digit IQ's. This board acts like getting a football team to beat Duke is the same as running the R&D department at Apple. It's football. Hire someone who knows how to coach it and get really good players to play for you. It's not difficult. But Baker has proven he is not Manny when they occupy the same chair. Manny needs to find someone who is, or he's going to lose his job. As he should.
