I would start giving Garcia more reps in practice. You tell him to be ready at a moments notice.

As for TVD, you tell him this is still his team, but that we need him to play better — simple as that.

Motivate him by making him think Garcia is coming for his job unless he steps it up.

Yes, it’s not all on TVD. The receivers haven’t stepped up; however, he’s playing way too tentative right now and it’s obvious that he’s unsure of himself. Quarterbacks can’t afford to second guess their eyes — they have to trust themselves.

Garcia has a quicker release and he’s the textbook definition of a gun slinger. He’s not our offensive savior, but it’s possible he can elevate the play of our receivers by playing with swagger and confidence in the pocket.
