If Hurts comes, does Williams bolt?

I don’t care honestly. I’d like to see Williams stay especially now that we have a guy who develops QBs BUT if bringing in competition to get the best results out of the QB room scares him off then so be it. I’m ok with the idea of bringing in Hurts and even Martell if he has to sit a year. We don’t yet know what any of our current QBs can do if they’re coached up to their potential but if we wanna win NOW then we can’t be afraid to let guys fight it out just because somebody’s feelings might get hurt.

this is a good question.... if JW doesnt want competition, then **** him. Kosi already pursuing a career on Brazzers

That would be a real loss. Look how he took over and stood out when we had poor QB play last year.

I want JW to be the next great Cane QB just as much as anyone, but iron sharpens iron and he'll still only be a RS freshman next year, learning a new system. If any of the current QB's on the roster decide to bolt because they feel it's not fair, are afraid of competition or whatever, then I'll help them pack.

Being the starting QB at Miami is something to be revered and needs to be earned. I'm not crazy about Hurts but I respect the **** out of the kid for sticking at Bama this year, working on his craft and being ready when his number was called. That's the kind of mentality we need embedded throughout the roster, not just the QB room. This **** with true freshman wanting to bolt because they're not starting the spring game of their first semester on campus is ridiculous.

Manny gives zero ***s about your feelings. Just win. I’m riding with el jefe

On re-recruiting his own players and whether he worries whether any quarterback on the roster might transfer:
“No. I’m excited about them coming and competing. I think they all know that they have a clean slate. I think they know that they’ll be evaluated on really what they do going forward. I said all along -- we are looking for the solution. If the solution is in Coral Gables, then that’s fantastic. If the solution is outside Coral Gables, that’s fantastic. If bringing someone from the outside spurs one of our guys to bring his level to where the point where they can uphold the standard of being the quarterback at the University of Miami, outstanding. This is an equal opportunity employer. We do not care who plays quarterback for us. But we do care that it’s played at the standard that the great ones have come before have set.
