I know Goldens & Turkey **** defense had a lot of issues, but after deconstructing his failures I believe that he also fell on the wrong side of the religion and race card. We all make fun of Uncle Luke about him and the whole Golden not being black conspiracy, but Luke is just speaking for the people iMO and race was a problem for him
If Coach Golden was black and connected better with the players I think we could have seen these more premier players fall our way, for ex: Amari Cooper, Dalvin Cook, Teddy Bridgewater, Alex Collins etc. Maybe Storm Johnson does not transfer.
Now that Richt is in the fold, I’m also seeing how powerful religion can be in recruiting and how Golden failed here. I think religion could maybe helped us bring in Bosa or at least at the very most could have helped prevented those young LBs from not raping that innocent girl and our depth would have not been so thin this year.
