Stunts like this remind me of Nevin Shapiro. Motivated by people who want the team to succeed, but the only real result is that they will hurt the team. Golden being "forced" out by the fans will lead to a collapse in the recruiting class. Yet more years of rebuilding. Everyone loves someone else's coach, until he's here and struggles.

Tell me who we hire before we kick Golden out. "Fire the coach" is not a plan.

The anyone-but-Golden attitude is just living in the moment. This needs to be well thought out. Showing up at protests? Not so much. Makes people feel better about themselves though, so that's a plus.

Admittedly, this does require thinking, at a minimum, so perhaps I'm expecting too much.

You evidently haven't read around the board lately then. First of all, Butch may very well be hired if the job opens and second of all I haven't really seen anybody mention Saban other than a few sarcastic posts.

The point I was trying to make is UF isnt after Butch the Gators really want Dan Mullen. They have a website about it that got over 100,000 hits in 1 day. They want Mullen bad like all of us want Butch. Davis is not the big name that all the Gators want.

If we won't hire Neinas' man (we did once) and drop Golden without a swift plan (a la Louisville) then we kiss this incoming class bye and continue the perpetual rebuilding cycle!
