He’d take the first gig offered to him. The quicker he gets away from Richt the better for his career

He will be hired soon to be HC of a mid-tier P5 school. Maybe he does well maybe not. But if/when he leaves we will be exposed heavily

He's gonna finish the season with a Top 5 D, maybe #1. Honestly his "stock" will never be higher. I expect him to become HC next year as a small school (FIU, FAU type). I'll be amazed if he is back. Combine that with talent on D leaving (Jaquan, Willis, Jackson going early, MJ, Redwine, etc.) D will likely take a major step back next year. We wasted it this year...

He ain't leaving Miami for a small school like FIU or FAU.

Also if we do lose Manny then Richt will almost immediately be exposed. His offense is bad enough to make us a 5-7 team if the defense is just average or solid.

I'm not buying Diaz jumping ship for just any job. He's going to need more than just one season with a top defense to land a job that doesn't put him back at DC in 3 or 4 years.

Butch Davis was a multiple time Super Bowl Defensive Coordinator.

Butch knows Defense.

Defense wins games.

(If you have just a smidgen of offense)

Diaz is no fool. He is not going to some BS Group of 5 school for a HC job. The key to Diaz's scheme is a particular personnel...speed. He will go to a school that has speedy athletes, a pipeline of 4-5 star recruits and premiere football operations and facilities to maintain the equity and value he has created for himself. His stock has risen and people who can offer all of the above will come for him.

Diaz is at home here don't see him going somewhere else.take a big pay raise to get him.hope he rides this out and if cmr is out hopefully the university will take a look at him.he is an aggressive style of coaching is what our offense needs.

If Diaz is smart, he’d wait for a G5 team who lost a good HC to a P5 program. A program with a winning culture. Jumping to an average-to-bad G5 team is a career killer.

His opportunities will be dependent on his work with the defense. I doubt an AD would think, ‘Diaz is a great DC and interviewed well. Knows his stuff, has great ideas for the program and organization. But I can’t overlook Richt’s offense.’.

Manny’s career was just about rock bottom when he was hired by Richt. His defenses had been exposed at several schools and there was a lot of moaning groaning here about his blitz packages.

With the athletes he can get here and obviously he has adjusted his coaching to eliminate some of the failed blitzing, results are evident. Would be a mistake to jump on the first offer because he needs the “right” situation to succeed.
