If Deejay Dallas doesn't go pro...

Keeping the talent will be the problem. Guys arent sticking around if they arent playing.
Those are two different issues. Guys who dont play dont tend to get drafted. We have had too many guys who do play leave on false expectations of being a high pick.

If they're good enough to get drafted, backs should always leave. Most guys have a limited number of carries in them.

You redshirt Chaney. We've redshirted All Pro backs before. He'll be okay.

Lo would be the odd man out in this scenario. The staff barely plays 2 backs. No way they split carries between 3.

Slightly related, Cams been running hard lately. Cant wait to see him carry the load next season.

Don't see any scenario where we redishirt the best local RB since Dalvin or Duke.

That’s why it’s a good thing if he does go pro.
Remember when we are at our peak, we had that kind of ridiculous depth. A running back got hurt and he would just red-shirt because they knew they weren't going to play. K-2 had to play special teams.

Easy.

Someone will get injured and they will be placed in bubble wrap.

Every time one of then gets dinged or tired even a little they can be pulled.

A missed assignment, dropped pass, or fumble is now a benching for the next series. Repeat offenses gets a guy benched for the game.

Punt returner, kick returner, wildcat QB, receiver, there are tons of explosive plays and packages to be involved in.

The real key is to beat the living snot out of teams so you can rest your top two backs in the fourth quarter.

Dallas is likely gone but if he isn’t he keeps his current role. Lingard and Chaney compete with Harris and get all the return duties.

Love DJ, but his running ability will be replaced. The part of his game that I think we will miss dearly is pass blocking, almost every big play we had the last few weeks he absolutely stoned walled a blitzer, this is hard to find even in the NFL, so we should not overlook how important this has been for our offense.
He's is RB1 if he comes back imo, but on the other side seeing how RBs have been treated in the league I hope he start his career sooner and get as much $$ as he can.
