If that happened, you’d be going from 5-7 and getting blown out by MTSU, to 9-4 and probably beating a decent team in a bowl game. You’d have to be very excited/optimistic for the future. Probably finish with a Top 10 class too. That would also include a Top 10 win against UL. That’s about the best case scenario you could ask for.

Would be the best season since 2017.

5-7 to 9-4 is definitive progress, no matter how much the women here would try to convince you otherwise.

Winning 9 in Year 2 isn't good enough, overall. But if you want to believe the program had to be torn completely to the studs and rebuilt from the first board, then going from 5 wins to 9 wins and being competitive in every game is certainly progress in that regard.

But then you better win 10 next year.
 
Optimistic but cautiously for sure..I think its very important for recruiting. U need real evidence to sell, u cant be saying we headed in the right direction meanwhile u went 5-7 to 6-6

But u go 5-7 to 8-4? U can sell that we are trending up. Thats why i think this last stretch is very important

Good points,

Cardinals have QB , top flight D , 9-1 peaking in all aspects of there game and making a serious run.
We are totally going in the opposite direction we are just barely hanging on with a tiring out exhausted D.

Plus national TV , every single category we do not match up against this top flight power 5 team.

We totally fall apart under TVD and the pressure coming at him relentlessly.

Total collapse coming all signs point 🎯 to this.

Peaking in all aspects of "there" game = squeaking out a win vs Virginia

Barely hanging on with a tiring out exhausted defense = holding FSU to their lowest yards per play of the season on their home field.

They don't call CIS the best color men in the business for nothin' folks!

8 wins. the new standard for an 80 million dollar coach bc posters on here who love maribro convinced themselves you must tank to win. if after 3 years, a coach is still average to poor, guess what? hes not winning here. before anyone brings up harbaugh, he took a bad to avergae michigan team and won 20 games in his first 2 years
