Baker’s system is not as close to Manny’s as most think. It’s much more read and react than attack.

And Manny had no problem with letting Baker run it.

Bottom line, this is Manny’s dream job. He knows he can’t **** this up.

The Stubblefield thing was very promising in that regard. He could’ve kept him but pushed him out.

I full expect him to go after a top DC if Baker leaves.
THIS .

Seriously. I usually advocate for quality coaching but this is where recruiting should be the priority. Diaz is the best DC we can get. Rumph is the best CB coach we can get. We should get a great DL coach like Simpson and the other spots should be elite recruiters. Patke is total dead weight and Baker is worse cause his playcalling is harmful. Get an LB coach who can pull a Flowe or Arthur Brown, and if Banda can't get the job done get a DB coach who can help recruit for Rumph. So much excess and waste on the defensive staff right now.

Corey mother ****** Raymond. We cant keep missing out on these superstar DBs. And he has put more 1st rounders in the league then ANYBODY. And he has pull in Louisiana. PERFECT fit!

Idk how I missed it, but did Manny fire blake or has there been talk of him wanting to fire him???

Supposedly interviewing for the LSU DC job. I'm having a really hard time believing this is true but it's been reported.

Honestly Shannon or Strong has the skill set (and have proven) they can be a great (and even championship) DC. So for that I would say if take either.

In reality that isn't enough. Shannon left in disgrace and even if he has grown it is difficult seeing him not being a cancer here. I think he's set in some of his ways.

Strong I don't think was quite as good as Shannon as a DC (though between the two he was a better HC). But he, I think was definitely above average and could be good here. Though he didn't coach here before I think he would be a bit of a cancer as well.

Both talented DCs but I think both need a better fit to flourish.

Manny didn’t want highsmith being hired in a position of authority, you think he’s going to give away his influence of his defense? I highly Doubt it

Well, if he wants to be a big-boy HC he'll have to consider that, because it didn't work so well last season. #4th&17

That would be a dream obviously. Raymond recruits AND develops. None of our coaches do both like that.

I guess if Diaz was de facto DC we could pay Raymond like Baker&Banda combined to be DB coach and "pass game coordinator". But we all know that won't happen.
