If Al Golden ISNT our HC next year

Probably the same as if he's still our head coach.... probably better depending on who fills the position .... ala butch

All **** will break loose, anyone that believes otherwise is not facing reality, but recruiting should not factor in coaching decisions.

So by this logic, kids love to go 6-7. These kids should be committed to the U, not Al.

If Al Golden was kept here, we would lose a bunch of recruits like every year he has been here. Every year we are shocked that FSU and UF to a lesser extant humiliate us on signing day. No difference

It is worth losing our top ten recruits if it means ANYONE else as our coach. I will make that trade for Golden ten times out of ten. I just want the rebuild to begin instead of pushing it back yet another year.

Depends on who replaces him. Golden may surprise us and win and this will improve our class

LOL!!!! This class will fall apart by November after multiple losses. In December Golden will be fired, further mass destruction. Days and Days will go by and every fan screaming for a new HC. Finally in Mid-January a new HC will be hired and spending the following three weeks begging, pleading, and lying to every recruit to commit to The U!

How does our current recruiting class change?

if its a great hire we get good players back, if its a bad hire miami becomes bumbs. kids will use the i left or decommited excuse because ag isnt there noise, just like teddy did which was bs. strong outrecruited ag and shannon for teddy, also kids use these excuses to fool the dumb fans. they say things like i went to this school cuz my girl goes there or its a family bs, its all lies.

butch gets kids cuz he knows how to cutt corners and if u wanna win thats the real truth u gotta cheat period. people dont like to hear it but thats the way it goes especially for the elite players.

I agree with this. It will pretty much mirror exactly what happened at Florida last year. Coach gets fired, people decommit, new coach scrambles for 2 months trying to get anyone and everyone. Get a few great players (Scarlett, Calloway) and take the pain for a year.

I think you guys should give Golden a couple more seasons. He really can connect to the fan base and now that the cloud is finally gone I think you guys will be trending up. Plus he has a top 10 recruiting class, just needs more time to rebuild.

Depends on who replaces him, really. If we win this season and he stays, the class improves. If we lose, he's fired, and replaced by a well respected coach, the class improves. If we hire a bum, the class completely falls apart. That is what I see happening, sadly.

If he's fired the class falls apart but it will be worth it. Look at all recent first year coaches recruiting classes. Most usually aren't the highest.

Sorry didn't mean to neg

Depends on who is the next coach.

A guy like Pruiit at UGA would bring in some of his personal recruits like he did Jalen Ramsey at FSU, while jumping on some under the radar guys that UGA didn't offer.

But A guy like McElwain from a small program can't bring elite recruits like that with him.

Also depends on how FAmiliar that coach is with South Florida recruits...

A few "diehard commits" like Jackson, Quarterman will stay or commit regardless, like 5 star OT Ivey did at UF.

But Butch Davis is not going to walk in and sign a top class. He will get some local coaches in kids ears, but These kids are too young to even remember him here, and recruiting has changed. You got to be on these kids by their sophomore/junior years. You can't just walk in and say "I'm Butch Davis/Nick Saban/Vince Lombardi". Doesn't work like that anymore. Look at Patterson saying He follows kids on Twitter 2 hours every night... Or Bama having assistants play these kids in Madden or Fifa online...

4-5 years ago classes were decided on signing day, remember when Texas was "weird" for having a full class by Novemeber?

now most schools have 20+ commits by December, with 7-10 Early enrollees already on campus. For top 10 classes, Signing day is just a few Silent commits making announcements, 1-2 surprises, and then offering your back up plans like Redwine or Marcus Lewis at FSU.

Class will fall apart if he stays too.

Just have to look at the last couple years for the obvious.
