What about Mark Stoops? He's coached here before. He's defensive minded and younger. He has Kentucky on the upswing. I don't know if he would leave though. He may not be a **** choice but is a solid coach in my opinion.

If the guy hasn't coached or played here I don't want to hear his stinking name. If he's coached and played here then he shoots to the top of the list.

I support almost anyone over Golden, he's just that horrible, but Stoops made an initial splash like his Bros, but he like them have cooled to moderate. If we are going to go young and happening then I go along with the Hermann supporters. My choices in terms of realistic possibilities remain Schiano and Butch. I have no doubts about who they are and what they can do.

Turned around FSU defense. Knows what it takes to recruit down here.

His current OC was at WVU and DJ Elliot was a GA here and coached at FSU so also knows area.

Interested to see how the rest of the year pans out for them

Agreed....

Stoops is making 3.6 mil per year.

You you have to pay this clown 5+ mil per.

Not even close to worth it.

IMO, Stoops would have to ask for the job to be considered.

UK is just looking for him to win 8 games per year, and keep the natives entertained until Basketball season starts.

If he does that, he can stay forever. Go to a warm weather bowl game every year, and flirt with some top 25 rankings on occasion. Nobody is expecting him to win the SEC East, so if he ever does, they'll be ecstatic!

And for that, he'll make north of $3.5MM per year ... in Lexington, KY.

Meanwhile, if we pay Stoops $4MM to come to Miami, we expect CFB Playoff appearances by year 3. And he better be winning for the conference title in year 2, after winning the Coastal in year 1.

I can't see Stoops taking the job ...

Explain how Stoops comes in next year and wins 10 games with a veteran junior QB and because I'm not interested in anything but that.

No more rebuilding bull****.

How are ppl loving schiano still

**** good coach, just because the NFL didn't work doesn't mean a thing, see Nick Saban, Butch Davis, Steve Spurrier,Pete Carrol the first time. He's a dictator type which only works in college ball.

Stoops would be a good choice but Jeremy Pruitt would be an even better choice!

How is Pruitt still a hot name?

Have y'all actually watched UGA's defense THIS YEAR?

Unfortunately, dudes hear Pruitt mentioned by a guy that they look up to, and then Pruitt suddenly gets traction with fans. I don't get it with him at all. Might be a good HC one day, but that seems like a crazy risk to take.
