Auburn wins out including SEC champ game
Miami wins out including ACC champ game
OU wins out
Wisconsin wins out.

That would leave Miami at 1, Auburn and OU 2 and 3 and then the big question:
would Wisconsin be #4 or would they put a one loss Alabama team at 4 and shutout and undefeated Whisky.

If Auburn is two, which I could see happening then the committee doesn't even look at losses anymore, completely marginalizing the beginning of the season. Not happy with the committees ideals thus far.

Auburn could be 2 or 3...that does not really matter
remember its SEC . that counts extra point.
The big deal is whether or not an Alabama team with one loss that DID NOT win the conference would get in over undefeated Wisconsin that did.

UGA and bama have beaten nobody

So giving Auburn credit for beating those two is ridiculous and to forgive two losses for beating two overrated teams is funny

There would be too much of a stink by the Big 10 to keep Wisconsin out in your scenario. Plus they give priority to teams that win their Conference Championship.
So I think the Selection of Wisconsin over Alabama in this hypothetical is an easy one.

As much as it pains me, it would probably be best for Bama to win out in any scenerio. If Auburn beats Bama, Bama is likely still going to make it. If Bama wins at Auburn and loses in the SEC championship, Bama still may be included in the Playoff.

Alabama in that situation would not get in. Their schedule would not be there, they will lack a marquee win. More interesting scenario is if they beat Auburn then lose to UGA in the SECCG....Then that gets real close.

I think Auburn would be the 4 seed, under that scenario

Wisconsin, as an undefeated B1G champion should be no worse than 3. If the committee can view losing to a 9-3 LSU and a 11-2 Clemson team as being a better resume than finishing undefeated in a P5 conference, then we need to scrap the system.

Truth is ... Under the former system, an undefeated Miami would play an undefeated Wisconsin for the title. Both teams would be 1 and 2, as the only undefeated P5 teams.

This CFP BS has screwed up the system. And it's changing the system from when "every game matters" to the garbage we have today, where people really see a 2-loss team being on par with a undefeated squad ( Wisconsin and Auburn). That wouldn't be the case this far into the season under the old system ... And I don't see that change as a good thing.

Careful ...

I'm guessing you won't be arguing for Miami to get into the playoffs with a loss in the ACCCG, since UGA and Miami have the same win over Notre Dame as their best win ...

why is it 'ideal'? because you say so?

I want us in there with Bammer, OU, and undefeated Wisky

we NEED to play and beat Bammer

You mean like they did Penn State last year?

Personally, I want a shot at Alabama to truly see how we stack up. I think we can take them

Different set of circumstances since Ohio State had a better record than the team that won the Conference.
In this scenario Alabama would have a worse record and no Conference Championship.

You really think their schedule will hold them back? It has not thus far.

Not to mention O$U defeated a higher ranked team in their Final game than Penn State did in their final game.
