I wouldn't freak over the sacks and turnovers. They'll come.

Just wait until we play rela teams trying to win.
Most teams we've played are playing not to lose.

This is a cleaner version of the '24 team. Score quick,fast and early and then go after the 5 step drops.

Like someone said, as the schedule deepens we'll see the sacks show up. Pressures are there.

I'm a little bit more worried about the lack of PBUs or Int, I'd like to tighter man coverage but Wake will be a better team.

FAMU decided the ball comes out in 2 seconds no matter what. The most they could hope for were 10 yard passes. To me that's a game plan that says let's not try to lose by too much. All facts right here. Neither teams held onto the ball for long enough for the pass Rush to get there and that was my design. The sacks will come and they will come in bunches when someone has to actually try to push the ball down field on us. Our defensive ends were in the backfield all night last night.
 
echoing some of y'all - Pickett can play more

and myself and others - Wiley should not only play more as LB but if we're using Smith as a jack to rush QB on certain plays, I also feel Wiley going to be way more effective there specifically as well

I'm worried about LB play, secondary health & OL against elite competition. DL is solid. Not Bain/Mesidor but nothing will be.
 
I dont care about the actual numbers...but I do care about the chaos. We've played two underwhelming teams and created ZERO chaos. The good thing is, the secondary has had plenty of reps actually having to cover. Bad news, against better teams, this makes blown coverages or plays where the dbs lose the receivers...something we all know too **** well. We have to get more pressure on the qb and create chaos....and we need to do it very quickly.

Look at it this way....we're not talking about the defense, like the national media is talking about the offense.

it's not the dline imo ... the coverage on the back end ... softer than charmin thus far

Blount looks great coming off the edge, I almost don’t want him inside on passing downs.

Why isn’t Pruitt playing more? Seems like he was the 5th LB on the field and D$ talked like he was going to be the 3rd in the offseason.

I was seeing him late in the game like who is #4. He didn’t record a tackle so maybe that’s why he’s sliding down the depth chart

Playing very soft zone, keeping everything in front of them. Maybe because they know what this offense can do?

I want to see more press man against Wake.
