both of these guys have huge NFL paydays waiting for them. why bust your tail playing for an inept coaching staff that continues to put you in a position to fail?

perryman was a heat-seeking missile on monday and seemed to be in on every tackle. duke continually was forced to run into the teeth of 8 and 9 man fronts that barry sanders wouldnt have been able to bust loose on.

i wouldnt blame them if they saved their bodies for the next level like clowney did last year.

Uh, no. You really think the NFL scouts wouldn't pick up on that... There isn't any quit in these cats anyway. They don't know anything but give it your all. That is what makes them who they are.
 
Clowney played with a hernia all of last year. Guy was legitimately hurt. As far DP and DJ, their work effort doesn't include taking plays off and these guys are the players they are from working hard. They are also the face and leaders of this team. To think they would take the rest of the year off is not only absurd but just not in their DNA.
 
After one game? Really? Wow. Im ****ed off too but dang. Thats a little extreme. Now if we go into that FSU game 5-5 and get blasted by them and are sitting at 5-6 with little hope for a bowl game...Then I would give them the go ahead to check out.
 
RB and LB aren't the greatest positions to mail it in and half ***. It'll definitely cost you draft positions, but more importantly, get you injured.
 
Yea because NFL teams love to draft players that quit on their teams in the face of adversity. Great post.

I rewatched the 1st half closely, and we ran into some 8 man fronts some, but it wasn't nearly as much as some of the "experts" on here claim. I haven't watched the 2nd half yet, so it could have changed.

They really don't though if they mail it in. Both Perryman and Duke arent gonna wow you with their measureables, they are just studs that make play after play after play. If they mail it in then they will fall down team's draft boards. Perryman is small for an LB and has question marks about his coverage ability which has become that much more important in today's NFL game, he just isnt a kid that will blow up the combine and make his money there, he will make his money on his play on Saturdays. Duke plays a position that has been losing value every single year, plus he needs to prove he can put up a full elite year....

Mailing it in would be soft and I would not root for them another day in my life if they did that. That's some s.hit Ray Ray Armstrong and Forston would do
 
yeah because UM draft prospects have been grading out so highly by scouts and have been going so high in the draft as of recently. this is so dumb. neither one of them are clowney and what he did was equally as stupid because it could of cost him $
