We were rising in the polls earlier in the year without playing any games due to the Hurricane and teams losing in front of us.

Good question, I don't think we beat either one though. Bama losing to GA doesn't make us batter than Bama. That just means GA is better than Bama until the next time they meet. I love our team, great fighters, but I am also realistic, we have two years before we beat teams like that. We're thin, we don't really know what this team can do until they play a good team. Beat VT and ND and that changes everything.

Boise state cried about this for years, they play an easy schedule and expect everyone to put them in the National championship. That is not Miami, we played the best, anywhere any time. That's what puts the best on top. So far it's us who has played the easy schedule, you guys are putting the cart before the horse. Beat VT, ND and Clemson and if we aren't in the top 4 we have a gripe. Until then we aren't getting cheated out of anything.

Lots of misguided posts on both sides.

First, if we go undefeated and win the ACC-CG, we will be in the Final Four. Ped State plays Ohio State next week. Alabama and Georgia will have to play in the SEC-CG. And if Clemson wins out and we beat them in the ACC-CG, then we will be in the Top 4 (since either Ped State or Ohio State would face Wisconsin in the Big 10 CG).

Second, yes, if we lose a game or two, we will be among a host of teams with one or two losses. Someone will get left out in a Final 4 scenario (I have long argued for an 8 team playoff, with 5 conference champs and 3 at-large spots).

Third, we started lower than every other undefeated Power 5. That may be pre-season bias talking, but that is the current system (I have long argued for an elimination of pre-season rankings).

Fourth, for better or worse, we had a few close calls (even if one was to a pre-season Final 4 pick) and have had a few weeks when we did not play. Our win over F$U may have looked better before they lost more games.

Finally, we will play a Top 15 VaTech and a Top 10 Notre Dame, not to mention the ACC-CG. Even 3 last-second wins against those teams will still be impressive to pollsters.

Six weeks from now, if we are undefeated and still having these conversations, then there will be something to debate. BUT THIS IS WHY THE GAMES ARE PLAYED. To settle these debates. Yes, it was easier to "leave someone out" when it was a 2-team championship game. It is still possible to "leave someone out" in a Final 4 setting. Eventually we will get to 8 teams, there is way too much money talking to continue to oppose the momentum.

Yes, the pollsters hate us. Yes, we were ranked too low to start the season. Yes, we haven't had an impressive signature win. Yes, our SOS is solid, better than others'. Yes, nobody ahead of us lost this week. Yes, we should be ahead of Clemson, and possibly Ohio Taint as well. Yes, we will have a chance to beat some good teams soon and move up as others ahead of us lose.

Everybody relax. Let's play the games. Let's win and then ask everyone else how our a$$ tastes.

We beat Clemson for the title they’re out.

TCU wins out they’re in.They lose they will drop.

PAC 12 has nobody worth a flip and their whole league sucks so they have no one that gets in.
