I'm really getting confused in my old age. It seems many posters believe that we have a dearth of top notch players that came aboard during the previous coach's regime. Many 5 star players were cajoled into signing on with teams like Alabama, LSU, Ga, etc, because of under the counter monetary enticements. Now, with NIL, the prospect of signing the better players from South Florida HS puts us closer to narrowing the talent gap with said top notch teams.

What really confuses me is, based upon all these changes, why would the fan base go so far out of it's way to besmirch the coaches, the current players, etc. to such a high level knowing full well that the local HS players follow this site? Why would they deliberately dissuade top HS players from ever attending Miami?

It's not logical.......but it's **** near reality!

Like I said before: This fan base is in a rebuild mode. It’ll take time…

Nope! I don't do crosswords. I've been spending the last week or so trying to get things back to normal after Hurricane Ian. I live 25 miles north of the eye of the storm and we spent about 4 and 1/2 hours enduring 140 MPH winds since we were in the eye wall that whole time. I still can't get someone out here to check for roof damage and water inside the crawl space.

But what does endlessly crying about it and posting on this site and twitter and calling the coach derogatory names do, exactly? I’m not saying you personally have done this, although I will say you sure seem to be a lot more vocal when things aren’t going well, which is curious.

But Mario Cristobal is the coach here for many, many years. Period. There is no caveats to that. No “but if this…”. Nothing. That is a definitive, end-all statement that has literally no chance to even remotely change. So what’s the point, exactly, of being completely negative publicly where other people can read it and use it to negatively impact the program? And for the record, I’m not saying sit back and smile and pop bottles when we lose to MTSU. Everyone has a right to be and should be ****ed off. But how does eviscerating the one man who probably has the most secure job in the southeastern United States improve anything, exactly?

It's a cultural behavior in our fan base. It's been learned for a generation.

We have enough talent on this team to not be 2-3. The University of Miami went all in on football and paid huge money for a HC, staph AND an AD. We lost to Middle Tennessee. The fans have every right to be mad.
