Brewer came to the Hilltop after serving as the offensive quality control analyst/special projects working with the quarterbacks under Rhett Lashlee at UConn. In 2016, Jonathan served as an offensive analyst working the wide receivers at Auburn University, under Lashlee and Kodi Burns. From 2013 to 2015, Brewer served as the offensive graduate assistant working with the offensive line, under JB Grimes.

So he's got experience working with QB, WR, & OL. Maybe he knows how to mesh everything together.
 
We need excellent teachers and coaches who can recruit. Bryant McKinney is right. We've all seen it. Our players often do better at the next level than they do here. Player development will make recruiting that much easier. My hope is that we will let Lashlee entirely build his staff rather than saddling him with coaches who don't fit what he wants to do.

Brewer better be coming in as a QC. If he was that good then he should have been a position coach at SMU.
