I wonder what Ed Reed is thinking...

Okay, logically thinking here.

Most of us are hard core fans, that if given the chance, would be in the administration’s *** right now due to the state of this program. ****, some of you probably do that now via email, donations etc.....

Ed Reed is wealthy, a HOF, has a room named after him at UM. We saw that legendary halftime speech vs FSU. The man bled on that field. In short, he’s probably in more pain than any of us. He can actually pick up the phone and call the President or BOT and they will pick up the phone.

unlike you guys, I actually do think he can make a difference because he is there, actually sees what is going on now and can speak on it from first hand experience. In light of the aforementioned factors, I see no reason why he wouldn’t try to impart his influence. He has nothing to lose but much to gain in my opinion.

He has no authority to do anything. He can’t make Manny fire anyone. He can’t fire Manny. He can’t hire anyone. In other words he is no different from any of the hundreds of other alums that want better for the program but have zero power to do anything about it.

He’s been here a full season now observing and evaluating. When do we see the impact of the hire?

Great another Reed post. He has no duties or responsibilities. CIS should grown up and see that he has no effect on how this team is run from top to bottom. That is how Blake and Manny designed the crappy “position”.

He can impart his influence. most firings happen due to such influence being applied to those who make decision. If I am an AD or president, part of my job is not to **** off powerful people who support the program. I don’t think there is any comparison between us and Ed in that regard. He can call Blake and talk to him for an hour or or more about what needs to happen. You and me can’t do that. Respectfully my opinion.

If I were ed reed and stated that he bleeds MIAMI, I would ask more of a role if not just don't be here, it's like a teaser. Nothing negative here but he loveshis team please do what ALL u can do TO HELP US

When are we going to make that phone calls to Urban Myer! This is the only thing to save this dying program of 17 yrs and counting.

While he’s sniffing around, Miami needs to do something bold to fix this mess.

Reed is a HOF that doesn't need a Miami paycheck, it's pretty disrespectful of one of the GOATs to say he's just in it for the money. Shameful. I think he took the job because he wants to the able to influence the program. What hasn't he done that a "real COS" would have? Fire Diaz mid-season? Force Diaz to fire his DC after week 6? Very realistic.

The President of the school and everyone except maybe 3 people on the BOT dont know who Ed Reed is.

Coach Reed was around at the beginning of the season and he was getting more love from the announcers than Manny. Like when Ed was working the refs for a PI call. Having Ed over shadowing Manny threatened Manny's ego. So Ed went into the witness protection program and Ed hasn't been heard from since.

So Ed did have an impact, but too much of an impact for Manny.
