If you haven’t heard about “Uncle Jimmy’s” baseball card collection that his family found in his attic when he passed away, boy what they found is absolutely amazing in regards to perfect or near perfect cards from what he collected for 80 years, several Babe Ruth autographed cards ranging anywhere to a 7-10 on PSA’s grading scale. 1940-50-60 Topps whole sets in pristine shape. Rookie cards of the greats in 8-9-10 on PSA’s scale as well. The card industry was blown away from what the family brought forward to them, especially PSA who who couldn’t believe the cards they saw in the collection.

Or the kid who was playing in his yard with Tonka trucks up North, and found a tin canister with a Honus Wagner in it.

Mickey Mantle cards are worth the most out of the players in the sets they were in, a PSA graded 1952 double print rookie card sold at an auction for over 2 million a few years back. Other graded cards of his went for over $200k at different auctions as well. The others should have decent value also depending on the year and brand of card.
Whats the best place to go to see values of cards. I still have all my baseball, basketball, football cards from the 80s.

Louisiana Lightning Ron Guidry? Both are from Louisiana. Louisiana Lightning was one of my favorite ever Yankees. I am NOT from New York but was raised in Fort Lauderdale where the Yankees did Spring practice. When I was a kid Spring ball was informal and we kids could hangout. Wish I hadn't put my Mickey Mantle cards in the spokes of my bicycle...sigh!

Guidry is like Smith and Jones in Louisiana. Not saying he isn’t but there’s a better chance he isn’t than he is…

You can google most any card with its value …. Just google Topps for example insert year of card and card number and they will give you a value. If you have a graded card just google how much is a 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle card number x for example and they will list several prices depending on the grading service..

Or you can go buy a Beckett Magazine….most all cards are listed in there

I had an OJ Simpson rookie card. Growing up a Dolphins fan I hated the Bills. When I was like 10 years old I scribbled pink highlighter all over OJ's face. When I was like 20 years old that card was worth $1500, which in 1985 was some serious scratch. A Decade late it was worthless so I ended up not feeling quite as bad. lol
