Why does Blake James insist on letting the HC fail? Ive never understood giving a HC enough rope to hang themselves, because when they do, they take the whole program with them. We saw this play out with AG, who probably would have had more success had Dorito been fired by the AD, instead Miami let the HC fail. Miami Football needs a football specific AD whose job it is, is to ensure that the HC is hiring qualified people, not their sons or people with no resume to speak of.

I agree, but we need someone appointed by the BoTs that is able to course correct without having to wait on their vote. Do you think this their way of keeping power/influence/sense of importance?

Unfortunately until we bring a competent, passionate AD with autonomy, nothing really will change.
 
To be fair the head coach just started to fail. Was he gonna fire him after our first 10 win season in 15 years?

No, but he did do this with AG. And now what I want him to do is to publicly reassure the team, recruits and fans that theyre going to take action.

Fairness granted. However, at any of the successful, top tier programs, the AD is usually in the coach’s face the next morning, if not on the flight home after the shytting on the field.

It should be the HC doing the reassuring. If he needs a shove from the AD then that's what needs to happen, but you can't have your AD publicly going over the HCs head. Nobody respects or commits to a HC who's clearly not in charge.

Yes, I get that respect for Richt is about nonexistent right now, but you either fire him or maintain the appearance that he's in charge.

Fair point. The first step is admitting we have a problem. Id love to see MR address this instead of living in denial.

He doesn’t have power and if he did, he would have gladly fluffed ALbortion in 2016.

It doesn't matter. He's incapable of letting an OC do the job...if he weren't, he'd still be at UGA.

A few days ago I'd have been fine with him hiring an OC, but the more he talks the more I believe that won't matter. He'll just tell his OC to run the stupid plays we're already running, then insist his players aren't doing it right.
