The hype has been brewing and he’s been called the next one by Cam. If those abilities are there as many of us believe. Is an Ahmmon Richards freshman year type season possible for JO JO?
I really hope so. Richards was robbed of a long career and a chance at stardom. Really hope Jo Jo realizes his full potential here. The hype has been brewing and he’s been called the next one by Cam. Nah hes not AR, AR had deadly get off and speed. Ya'll tripping he is a different type of WR.The hype has been brewing and he’s been called the next one by Cam. If those abilities are there as many of us believe. Is an Ahmmon Richards freshman year type season possible for JO JO?
OH I recognize what Ahmmon was and would have been. I’m just asking do we think JO JO can have that same impact as a first time starter?Nah hes not AR, AR had deadly get off and speed. Ya'll tripping he is a different type of WR.
I don’t think OP was necessarily comparing their styles as much as stating that UM needs that level of production from its 5 star WR. I don’t think it’s farfetched to tihnk Jojo as a sophomore can have the impact that a true freshman did. Especially catching balls from Carson Beck and with no experienced WR ahead of him. Richards was still the #2 WR behind Coley his freshman year (even if he was better).Nah hes not AR, AR had deadly get off and speed. Ya'll tripping he is a different type of WR.
He doesn’t have to be Jeremiah. He just has to be the best version of himself. You gotta remember a lot of beast WR’s don’t have SB’S.I have a feeling that Jo Jo is either a day one pick or a greentree/sofla legend that never panned out.
Hope he doesn’t become a recurrent cis thread that we argue about for a decade.
Bottom line is we got the wrong teammate who he will always be compared to.
J Smith will continue to be brought up for at least a decade. Unfortunately for Trader, every time J Smith makes a great catch or goes for 150, or wins a Super Bowl; the name JoJo trader will peek its head in the mind of every cane fan. And it’s unfortunate for the young man.
The only way it doesn’t is if he comes close to being J smith. And that’s not happening.
Yep almost like Joe Yearby and Dalvin Cook but worse because unlike Cook we were so close to getting J SmithI have a feeling that Jo Jo is either a day one pick or a greentree/sofla legend that never panned out.

Can’t cry about spent money, can’t see-off a sailed ship.I have a feeling that Jo Jo is either a day one pick or a greentree/sofla legend that never panned out.

Has nothing to do with crying about the past and J Smith. Can’t cry about spent money, can’t see-off a sailed ship.
I disagree with this analogy only because I believe Trader will play in the NFL. Cook compared to Yearby was a 10 year pro vs a good college player. I think Smith vs Trader will be an NFL All-Pro vs a productive NFL receiver.Yep almost like Joe Yearby and Dalvin Cook but worse because unlike Cook we were so close to getting J Smith

The curse of Yearby....I have a feeling that Jo Jo is either a day one pick or a greentree/sofla legend that never panned out.

Not 1 person has crowned trader. And he was apparently balling vs all the new corners too this spring so just over look that too? Nobody is going to be smith. Dude like him don’t come around often. Trader was ranked a top 50 player coming out of hs. So the kid has elite ability in his own right. Fans can be excited about what he could potentially doHas nothing to do with winning a Super Bowl.
He’s living in the shadow of his teammate just like others have and that’s not a big deal.
But dudes have been talking about him balling and making last year’s sorry secondary look silly as if it was some sort of accomplishment.
You’re saying “the best version of himself” and what exactly do you mean? The best version of Mark Pope was at a marathon gas station.
Yea, he doesn’t need to be J Smith. But he better be the best dammm receiver on the team.
Let’s stop crowning recruits and players that haven’t done anything.
