Was Pete Carol considered a great X and O guy? I am not being smart, I am honestly not sure. I know he was a defensive guy but can’t remember if he was known particularly as a top X and O guy.

Yeah, he was a pretty successful DC prior to getting a HC job.

Honestly, looking at the FSU/GATORS game today.. was a breath of fresh air as far as how CF is being played/evolved today. Mario's got to step his game up my brothers. Because these young coaches will eat his Wheaties all game long, IF HE DOESN"T CHANGE his ways. We shall see what we get today as far as game planning innovation. But honestly boys, we just need a complete overhaul at our main coaching positions OC/DC. It's time to hire YOUNG INNOVATIVE COACHES that can make these kids believe that their playcalls are going to work no matter the situation JMO.

Coordinators that are not afraid to call their own plays without having the HC meddling/changing calls everytime, just let them coach MARIO!!. Look all these young HC/ASSISTANT COACHES NOW!! They get their players to walk through a brick wall for them. (AMAZING HOW THAT WORKS).

STEELE/GATTIS have to go ASAP, their play calling have been brutal this year and sorry is NOT THE PLAYERS fault. All these new coaches hired at other Universities have shown/proven us that the new playcalling innovation it's where is at. As it has also been mentioned here/everywhere (NATIONALLY) ad nauseous.

Dont shoot the messenger, but I have some friends that work in the Patriots organization, and theres been some talk that they want Mario to be Belichicks successor. They think hes the "best mind in college football". There prepared to throw the kitchen sink at him.

After turning Miami around (playoff team)? Or do you see him as a lifer? I honestly don’t know. Steve Spurrier was a Gator, a Heisman winner, won a national title at UF, went to the NFL. I think Mario is definitely going to turn Miami into a playoff team. I am stopping short of saying win a title, I just don’t know if he is that good yet, especially with the potential for expansion, but I think definitely a playoff team. But if and when that happens, can you see Mario taking that next step?
