When was the last time Miami played better than expected and beat a team they were not supposed to beat?

Sadly, the best reply I could come up with was VT in 2005.

Almost hard to believe.

Oklahoma in 2009 (10?) or FSU a few years back with Jacory and TB3 doin work

Horrible reply. They were 4-8 and lost to an non FBS school. Try again.

Did I need to word the post a good team???
UF.. we weren't supposed to beat UF.

Dude use some common sense. When we played UF they were at full strength. That was not a game we were "supposed" to win.

Yea they unraveled after and sucked balls but any team with injuries like that would've also. We also weren't supposed to beat Oklahoma under Shannon. Ohio State under Golden. FSU in 2009 under Shannon. There's a few of these games.

OU was missing Bradford and Gresham. OSU vs Golden had a QB that completed like 1 pass all game

Still, VT 2005 no one gave us a chance and it was the last time our coaches kicked *** in a game.

Kind of a catch-22. When we were good, we expected to beat everybody.

And then, on the first part of the downslide, we still expected to beat everybody, but didn't.

How about at Texas A&M back in 2007 and 2008? We weren't expected to win either of those.

In short supply around here at times.

No question U*** was ranked in the top 15....we were nowhere on the radar. They had a key injury or 2, but nobody was picking UM...just a fact.

Bottom line..UF didn't end up being worth a ****, but early in the season, much was expected.

UM

VT 05 without question. They were rolling and we were being told all week how good little Vick was bc he was lighting all opponents up til we came to the Saturday night showcase and drubbed them.

OU in 09 was a joke. UF last year is an even bigger joke and is really an indictment on how irrelevant our so called "big games" have really been since.

Last time they came out better than expected: VTech 2005

Last time they beat a team they weren't supposed to beat: UCLA '98

the team that had all of those injuries isn't the team we played .. let's pretend we know what context is.

You mean the same team that had to play a 7 on 7 in their spring game because they didn't have enough OLinemen? Let's not pretend like you know wtf you're talking about. Stick to the skin flute.
