He's explosive and we've all seen what he can do (and usually does) with the ball in his hands, especially on returns. I wouldn't mind him on PR as well.

He's a big time player, no question. So let him make big time plays in a big game.

This is what it's all about.

To the extent we're "saving" anything, whether plays or players, it seems this would be the time we're saving them for. I know we have a big month, but this game is what it's all about right now. For so many reasons, we need to win at all costs.

At least on KR (as opposed to PR) we don't have to worry about getting the most trustworthy guy out there (an argument in favor of Berrios on PR, apparently). And I don't want to hear about risk of injury. Corn is a football player, and he's a stud returner. Let him do what he does.

The more times he touches the ball, the closer we are to points. It's that simple.

Theres gotta be a reason berrios is out there. Richt isn't just doing it to make berrios happy.

Others in practice must be fumbling occasionally and that's why he's there. It's not like richt is gonna put someone out there in favor of another more successful player

And yes sure handed and reliable is the MOST important thing in a kick returner and punt returner. Scoring ability comes second

Homer was lined up at KOR in the GT game for a couple kicks. He didn't get any touches but I thought that was an interesting (pleasant) development.

Or Richt doesn't want his best corner gassed in the 4th. Or hurt. Or Richt knows his team better than Internet fans do.

He put his best RB at Ga, to return kicks. But, he also has two other rbs behind him.

KR? I mean has anybody even got a chance to return one this year? they've all been touchbacks.
PR I think yes

Put your best players in and whatever happen ....happen. Corn should be returning punts!! If he is need an rest, than let BB get in.

Heck no man. Corn has been lock-down status on our defense. He's crucial. You don't want to hear about injury risk? Tough because he's one of the most important players on the team. Let Berrios get ten yards on a return and let the offense roll.

Agree he needs to be returning punts. It's time to get something from the returns.

Not opposed to it if we need a big play but I think Richt is content with Berrios (fair catch & getting his offense on the field). Homer seems ready for KR... not that is matters these days.

Im not sure I agree. I think if we had more depth in the secondary you let him return kicks but we dont so I would limit his opportunities of getting hit. Berrios does just fine. Is he Devin Hester, no, but who is? He has been steady.

I think in the event we are down a score in the 4th quarter, yea, why not see if he can make a play but I wouldnt put him out there for the sake of getting hurt and compromising your defense.

Berrios is the safe/sure handed option. That's why he's back there (Richt said so this week). I'd expect to keep seeing him back there if we're playing safe or protecting a lead.

But I'd like to see Corn & Coley out there. I'd expect to see them if we're being aggressive or need to make a play.

Coley should be on kicks and Corn should be on punts. Also wouldn't mind seeing Malek Young or Homer get a shot.

I'm fairly certain I'll pass out laughing if Berrios returns a KR for a TD in this game now that this thread was started.

Great catch au. That is a pleasant development.

Homer has been a standout on specials so far this year. Kid has some wheels.

I noticed him back there too. He's always the first person down on kickoff. I think the kid will be special. I think if he didn't fumble in the FAM game we would see I'm more in special teams.

That would be a strange reaction.

I never said Berrios isn't good or can't get the job done. Plus, as you know, we trot out two KR every time...so I'm simply advocating that Corn be one of them. Berrios can be the other for all I care. And I hope he does take one to the rack.
