I visited TOS's. It's worst than I thought.

People need to chill. Dude is not a finish product. He was raw coming out of high school and if there was better qb options he would have shirted.

And people keep talking about he locks on recievers but that's what's being called. Look at spread teams there are plays where you are to take the snap and hit the primary reciever.

Go and watch the games there are plenty of times where he scans the entire field left to right and makes a throw.

Put in malik rosier if kaaya is so bad and i guaranteed the offense wouldn't score.

Everyone else around the country appreciate that kaaya is good but this ****** fan base complains and wonder why coaches and big time recruits don't want to come here.

He had a chance to cement himself in Hurricane legend lore with a game winning drive vs FSU similar to how Dorsey did in 2000 but once again got his ball batted on 4th down.
Other than that he was solid.

Jared goff projected to be the 1st qb drafted in a primetime game vs a top 5 team threw 4 or 5 picks. So does he suck because that happened?

People are mad because the fsu d-lineman jumped and made a play? Kaaya made the right read because waters was open with room to run.

What was he supposed to do stop the d-lineman from jumping up and batting the ball?

400+ yards, 60% comp rate, 3 TD 0 int.
Yeah, he did terrible. Those ******** sound like Golden.

He did what he had to, but he wasn't able to finish it out.

When you're forced to play catchup or in a shootout, the QB numbers tend to be good. We had 20 total rushing yards on 19 carries. We abandoned the run as we weren't getting anything on the ground.

So while he had a nice stat line, it doesn't amount to anything. He almost had an interception or two, such is life. The stat line for him, as any stat always, never tells the entire story. I would've gladly traded a hundred or two of his yards for an added 100 yards rushing. The team in this series who rushes for more (they didn't bring it up this game as they usually do unless I missed it) almost always comes out with the win.

dude puts up the best game of the year against the best team we've played yet... and you blame *him* for not running the ball more? wtf?!

one season under a quality staff and kayaa is all conference easy

Reading comprehension isn't your strong suit, is it?

Where exactly did I blame him for not running more? It's pretty clear what I said, read it again.

Some of you are all gooey over a 29 of 49 passing night, sorry, I'm not. We abandoned the run because 19 carries netted us 20 yards once you takeaway the lost yardage, of which flat foot BK had three for negative sixteen.

So he passed for right around 60 percent, again, I'm not all gooey about that when you're just dinking and dunking the ball for 8.9 yards a pop.

He had an alright night, but if he was a beast, he would've stepped up in the pocket more, rolled out, and moved the chains more. A QB with better footwork and mobility would've served us better. All hail BK though, he's splendid, right? It's crazy, people watch a game and don't even know what they're looking at.

Edit: That comes across as I don't like the guy, I just see how limited he is right now. People talk about whatever about him, but his biggest problem and it'll keep him out of the NFL should he not fix it, but basic footwork. He is possibly the most awkward (Grey Crow doesn't count, he looked like he was in quicksand) QB we've ever had with a fair amount of starts, in the pocket. He's a liability when he's forced to move anywhere and his inability to move at all limits what we can ask him to do or how to protect him back there. I can't imagine they aren't working on this or haven't in the past, but you never know. He can't even step up into the pocket consistently, it's crazy and don't give me the youth b.s.

lol sure

you didn't throw him under the bus while complaining about running more or imply that if he were better we wouldn't have had to give up on the run to come from behind or even possibly hint at the fact that if he were better he'd have figured out a way to win, which you point out would've been running the ball more

What pocket would that be? He barely had time to get the passes off before getting hit!

Oh look. Someone else blaming the fanbase for the condition of the program. Go figure.

IN is emerging as one of the biggest idiots here.

Kaaya puts up a monster game vs our #1 rival on the road with zero run game and barely any pass pro and this ******* has the balls to say "ummm it was ok, I guess. Just roll out more, bro."

400+ yards 3 TDs and 0 INTs vs a top 10 team on the road ain't cutting it man, we need better pocket presence. Yeah that'll do it.

Get your shlt together.

It's a fact that QB's tend to have their biggest games when they have little to no support running the ball. I get it, people want to anoint him, but he has a serious weakness in his game. Even Kirk commented how they needed to move the pocket, but then quickly followed with how immobile he is. He also spoke about him not getting his feet set on a couple of plays.

The defense did us no favors by putting us in a hole early and yes, the OL played a crappy game as well. You're all impressed by a stat line, I'm not since none of it mattered.

Yup, your reading comprehension sucks and you proved it again. I'll dumb it down for you.

No running game ='s QB has to throw it a lot.

Playing catchup ='s QB has to throw it a lot.

A QB's highest yard or completion / attempt games almost always happen when one of those two scenarios happen, if not both.

We clear now?

In fantasy land (where a lot of posters here live), I would trade 1-200 yards of his passing numbers for rushing numbers. Simply put, if you can run the ball (we clearly couldn't), it opens up the passing game even more. Instead we were left with a dink and dunk attack. The OL wasn't doing us any favors, so quick timing routes for short gains was all there was to be had. That's a tough place to be. Add in his immobility, we were lucky to have a chance.

Hey, lets continue to throw the kids under the bus for playing for the worst coach in school history...but these are the "real fans"

I actually agree with you on the problems that Kaaya's lack of mobility and poor footwork present our offense. I've been saying it since last season and been getting negged pretty heavily for it.

It's still the truth though.

Man the kid got hit on almost every single pass play! He took a beating and still put up 400+ and 3 TD's! He can't block for himself or the running game and he sure as **** can catch his own passes!

Most importantly, kid got us the lead late in 4th. That should have been a wrap. But there is that whole Al defense thing. What is Al's great defense forces another field goal instead of giving up that last TD? Their latest wonder kicker had already missed one hitting the RIGHT goal post. Do you think he knows WIDE RIGHT in Spanish? Maybe the kicker does what nole kickers are famous for. But Al gives up the TD instead. That was clearly Kaaya' fault. He should have saved that go-ahead TD pass for later.

oh well that makes it clear

no run game, no pocket, coaches suck, down early to best opponent on schedule so far = automatic great game for crappy immobile qb. makes sense.

Look man, I feel your pain. Kayaa's not the savior for this team, but he had a career game. No need to throw him under the bus when he's not the problem.

In fantasy land we all stop *****ing about players and focus on the cancer from the AD on down.
